100 more games to catch Gordon Milne. 248 more to catch Storey in first place. There’s an argument half of Storey’s games came pre war which tends to be the cutoff. Already managed more than 50 games more than Hill.

Two more seasons after this and I’d argue he’s our longest serving post war manager.

I think Milne actually managed the club for 526 games in total

Are you counting the time with Mercer? I’m just going off Wiki stats so happy to defer.

Well its always been a bit of an odd one really. I am pretty certain Milne was always first team manager but they kind of worked as a double act I suppose. I think Mercer was more a General Manager - negotiating contracts etc
