Marlon King has recently stated that getting the chance to play in Europe was one of the main reasons he left for Birmingham.

Fair play but why didn't you just come out and say "sorry guys I was going to stay, but then the offer came in to potentially play European football. This was a chance i could not turn down. My apologies to the sky blues who have been fantastic to me."
