Well yes if he thinks King is not in the wrong. I just cant believe a player can make his mind up that quick by landing on the wednesday and having a medical on the thursday.

I personally blame the telegraph aswell for running the story in the first place. The club were not intending to say anything until the paper phoned and said were running the story so hands were tied...

I didn't say King isn't in the wrong. Just that the board aren't as innocent as people like to be thinking.

If he hadn't been in jail, would there be so much of an uproar or would it be the boards fault?

There's an element of our fanbase that sees Sisu as the root of all evils, to blame for everything. Talk about biting the hand that feeds us (well keep the wolves from the door atleast).

Wigan have verbally agreed a new deal with Martinez today and Whelan said 'we'll get the contract drawn up in a few days for him to sign....'

Verbal agreements are everywhere in football and sport in general. Difference is most ain't done with a combination of player/agent with criminal pasts.

The board (not Sisu) gave him a deal he wanted, he accepted, that's it. You can shout at Sisu and our board all day long but sometimes you have to look at the facts. We have Marlons word and his agents (who also said he hadn't heard from Blues 48 hours ago, yeah right) against Brody, Ken, Clarke and Andy Thorn....

I know who I believe....

Let's face it, there is little or no loyalty anymore in football. Most players are mercenaries who only look at the big bucks being offered by other clubs to entice them away from their current contract. Hah, did I say contract? They also mean feck all.

How did the paper find out if the club didn't tell them?
I think you're looking for conspiracies where none exist, co* should never have leaked the 'verbal' news.

Money changed his mind its all about the wage an extra 5k a week, he doesn't care about being loyal there isn't much loyalty in football. His agent i think played a big part in this aswell kings wages pay his.

The only tiny consolation I take from this sorry saga, is he didnt go to the Village Idiots at the Crisp Bowl.
