Mascot packages (1 Viewer)

Could have added 5 pounds onto every season ticket price and made almost 3x as much.. I don't think ripping off families with kids is the way to go about business

But I really don't think its ripping anyone off and that's the difference of opinion.

I actually think it shows what unbelievable value last years package was but the new package has sold out in an evening to anyone who was on the ball AND willing to pay the price, anyone who thought I'll sort that out over the weekend has now missed out as the demand is there even with a reduced/altered package and the new price.

And whilst I agree that they could choose to subsidise the cost of mascot packages by increasing the price of season tickets, why would they when the demand is there to pay for itself? Its just a consequence of our journey over the last few years!

sadly its the way of the world and I think, like it or not, we have to accept that football along with other forms of entertainment no longer has much of a commitment to affordability and access for the less well off.

in many ways football is a long way behind and I fear they're going to try and catch up as quickly as possible. look at concerts by artists loved by kids, you're looking at £300 plus for a standard ticket and well over a grand for a VIP package that more often than not just means you get the better seats with some shit merch thrown in.

its not good but the genie isn't going back in the bottle.

Won’t someone think of the children!!!!

I’ve been going to the footy since I was tiny. Never was a mascot. Not sure I missed out on too much.

I was mascot , I met the players in the changing rooms and had photos with them all ,was completely starstruck .. we were premier league then , drew with southampton 1-1 , met Matt le tissier (before he was mental ) what a player , long story short , great experience

The fact they announced these after the kit went on sale seems pretty cynical to me. The people most likely to be interested in this are also likely to have already bought a home shirt/kit and its not like the away or 3rd kit was even unveiled. I think they are taking the piss with this to be honest.
