Thought he actually did ok when he came on last night, he went quiet in patches but when he had the ball he worked well
Fell over in the box looking for a penalty and even the bad refs know his reputation for falling over. He is a huge disappointment and that’s part of his problem he is too big they always say we need to bulk up this player or that him he needs to get some off and get some pace.

Thought he was mostly anonymous after a while forgot he was playing . Pathetic attempt at trying to get a pen.

He looked more confident on the ball in the Derby game, but I'm always expecting him to have the pace to beat a player and he doesn't seem to.
Again not sure if that's just a lack of confidence or game time thing at the moment, but do think he will come good.

Hopefully Bassette will also step up now Wright isn't available

He will get his chance now without Haji you would imagine

Nows the time to.show he has what it takes. I know a lot aren't sold at the mo
Agreed, from his POV he hasn’t been given much of a chance and our approach play hasn’t been good for any of our forward players. Which is reflected in Wright having scored all of our open play goals (more or less).

I suspect you are referring to Tavares here? But it's actually the EMC thread, and people are puzzled by this comment :D
Odd as it seems Calista I have no recollection of posting that response- truly but clearly I did.
I'm going to put it down to these awful antibiotics I'm having to take for SIX MONTHS that are making me feel really ill in an effort to combat the septic arthritis I have in one of my prosthetic knees.
Sorry, I hope I haven't offended anyone

Sorry to hear about that knee problem BadBoy, it sounds tough. Certainly no need to worry about a stray comment on a football forum 🙂

It was soft but, watch it again, the defender had two hands on his back together and gave him a push

Definitely a left winger and nothing else. Still looks like he’s not quite comfortable with his full back, what did people think of Harrison Burrows today? Still seems weird we didn’t go for him in the summer as a complement.

Looked really good today, he should get a run of games as FL is a 4-3-3 manager and wright is out. Hopefully he can work out how to play with our left backs.

He played with Burrows last year who while not great defensively has a great left foot and overlapped a lot and but some great crosses in.

Didn’t rate burrows today, weird we didn’t go for him but maybe he simply was set on United.

Thought he was good as a left winger, think the new coach should look at using a 4-2-3-1 with Wright being a striker to get the best out of Mason as well as others

I was a bit disappointed by Harrison Burrows, seen him a few times on the TV and he's been quality but today I thought he was poor.

Yeah just not sure on the 10 and the double pivot. Torp looks good there, you want Rudoni in, Sheaf and Eccles too. Good problems to have though.

Always good to have too much than too little. Plus if you want them in a 4-2-3-1 so badly put Rudoni in for Dasilva

I felt like we looked better moving the ball forwards with Sheaf and Rudoni as the ‘pivots’. Eccles had a good game individually but because both Eccles and Sheaf are both ‘quarterbacks’, it can sometimes slow us down as neither is particularly good at driving the ball in the final third.

The caveat is that it was 11 v 10 at this point of the match and the kind of game state where we could sacrifice one of Sheaf or Eccles.

TBH I think the applause for hamer at the corner was more of a dig at o hare, if I’m hamer after that id come back and play for us, not sure o hare feels the same

That’s the best he has been in a Sky blue shirt - by a country mile - maybe the change of management suits him?

Looked sharp today.

Hoping to see a switch to 4 at the back soon and EMC getting lots of game time in Wright's absence.
