So again why does King want to own a football club if he doesn’t expect to have to inject any funds? It’s just another shade of shitWorrying that Robins has said the wage bill won’t go up under King because it’s got to match turnover. Feels like that’s what’s really holding us back.

So how does ffp work regarding turnover our gates are now polishing 20000 I reckon in the top half of the division at least.
If Robins is talking about bringing in two permanently and two on loan, then surely wages will go up, unless he has a few going outWorrying that Robins has said the wage bill won’t go up under King because it’s got to match turnover. Feels like that’s what’s really holding us back.
It'd be useful to compare the level of non ticket revenue to other clubs pulling similar gates. So how do other clubs do it most championship clubs grounds hold 21000 or less so their average gates are likely to be similar or less than ours, sounds to me our season ticket prices will have to rise quiet a bit,
What was the actual quote from Robins?Worrying that Robins has said the wage bill won’t go up under King because it’s got to match turnover.
Asked how much of an impact King’s fresh investment will make, the City boss said: “It won’t fundamentally mean we can go and be a club that starts splashing the cash, but what it means is we can start planning for a little bit more in terms of moving things forward a little bit quicker than we have done of late, and we might be able to go out and buy one or two.
“But it isn’t going to fundamentally change the structure and the wage levels, because we have to make sure that’s in line with our turnover. We can’t overspend or over reach because we have financial fair play to take into account.
The FFP model wouldn’t apply if king puts actual equity into the club - it seems he’s likely spending money on transferring Sisu debt as opposed to putting into the club for a transfer war chest
He's not really saying the wage bill wont go up here
If that gets rid of the interest payments then it would free up money for wages.
What was the actual quote from Robins?
Is he talking about FFP, which I think allows losses of £5m a season or an additional £8m if its owner funded - that would tie in with Gs estimate of losing half a million a month, or is he literally talking about cutting the budget to match turnover?
Either way doesn't exactly sound like we'll be in a radically different position, at best sounds like we're back to where we were before SISU decided they wanted out
Doyle wasn't playing in the defence it was Bidwell, didn't come on until later in the game, so can't see how he is getting so much stickI agree, I think all three are decent at this level. It’s just frustrating when all three drop a bollock or have a bad game at the same time.
I forgot to mention all the above plus advertising & tv money and of course any in coming transfer fees.I know as tenants our only revenue is match days our non season ticket gates are around 5000 x ticket price which I think is £22 that’s £110k then there’s a bit of corporate I suppose. How for example does Luton or Millwall or Rotherham or recent prem club Watford beat that.
It's something I really can't get my head around. Our crowds are pretty decent for the division yet our wage spending is always one of the lowest because we can't afford to spend more. So how come others can then?So how does ffp work regarding turnover our gates are now polishing 20000 I reckon in the top half of the division at least.
If he can provide us with a few million a season in transfer fees and allow us to have a squad of Championship quality players I’m happy. If not, I’m not and will join the Ashley bandwagon.
Just gift a few million a season for transfers as well as cover losses?
This is the thing, it will just be building up debt, surely?
Well that’s what any owner would be doing unless they can find a magic income stream.
Back to square one then, apparently "debt free" but then just get into loads more debt again.
What if the players with money spent don't work out and end up like Tyler Walker or Hillsner?
What do you want Nick?
I'm being realistic.
Unless we get a Saudi prince who can literally plough millions in for shits and giggles then if we want somebody putting millions in then we have to expect them to want it back at some point.
The club costs millions to run. It’s not a case of what we want, any owner is going to have to put millions in because clubs at this level don’t break even really. I imagine the hope of any owner is promotion then either get costs back in the Prem or sell for enough to cover the losses.
That’s just the way the game works above L1 level sadly.
That's the thing, unless it's a rich billionaire they are going to want a return on it.
We then don't want to end up doing a Derby....

Anybody know approximately how much it is to run ccfc from tea lady to manager I’d guess about 20million.using fag packet maths I estimate we take about £10 million in ticket sales, I think it’s £7mill tv money and then there’s corporate & advertising plus any incoming transfer money.
If the average is just £10 a ticket imo opinion that’s too cheap, I think it is £22 on the gate I’d say ST price should be a minimum £15 a ticket. We don’t get anything like £10m in ticket sales. Fag packet: £10/ticket avg, 20k, 23 games, that’s £4.6m
