You're being silly now.

If he does work for the old players good for him but keep him out the back out of the way he isn’t funny just a bit embarrassing. We need fresh thinking surely us older ones are going to return it’s about getting the new younger fans through the door.

I imagine Macdonalds will be rushing on to get something built on the old Rowleys green club

There's a few funny fuckers on this forum.

If you don't know that then your not a true Cov City supporter.

Why? He’s just some bloke who organises the former players - what’s his actual connection to the club?

He's a lifelong fan who helps organise the Ex players association ect.

Can’t fault Billy Bell’s commitment and work with the FPA however as a host I think he is awful. Jokes are not funny and very repetitive.

I’d simply like to see the away fans closer, more branding and to cover up those awful wasps badges on the side of the pitch.

Split the Jewson Stand (or whatever it is called now) in two and have home and away fans in there. Advertise this as the standing/singing end. Proximity to away fans helps with atmosphere. It’s shit when they’re 3 or 4 blocks away.

Totally agree with this if we were in the Premier League and could sell out 28k home tickets but if we split the stand we'd have to move fans whenever someone wanted to bring 4000+.

Ok at the very least put them the side nearest to the scoreboard as opposed to over by the main stand

Fuck that then. It's like phoenix nights but not funny

I went there before the Northampton Cup game about five years or so back.

He read the team in the Casino lounge - ’Bassala Sambou, good Irish name there!' Again, good at that kind of stuff especially with the ex-players after the game but did having him be the PA announcer. JD is good at that.

Get in there from the pub at 5 to three and leave to the pub at the final whistle.

If they can fix where you're coming from and where you're going to take place at the arena then they'll make a load more cash and the club will be better off.

Be about two pound a pint dearer to!

Part of the 'matchday experience' (God, I'm starting to hate that fucking phrase) is visiting the pubs before the game. Sometimes, that's the best part of the away games.

Unfortunately I think atmosphere is something that will depend on other factors. We need more people through the gates to generate atmosphere

Not a fan of artificial atmosphere, but is there anything that could be done to improve atmosphere on the assumption our max crowd will likely be around 20k, and more realistically around 17k on a regular basis (so roughly half full)?
Maybe open up more of the ground to allow more fans in to link the Fans together on either side of the pitch, I remember I used to sit behind the goal opposite the away end, I think maybe if all the fans that turn up create the atmosphere the team will play even better (just a theory)

We did that when we moved back to the Ricoh the first time and then had 9000 rattling around the whole ground.

That's about the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen written on this forum, and there's some pretty strong competition.

I was talking to Grendel.

If you've never been in the corporate or cosino it is possible you wouldn't know who Billy Bell is.

So you have to go there to be a fan of the club?

No, don't put words in my mouth!

I said if YOU didn’t know Billy Bell.

I've been in corporate and still no idea who he is (unless he did it more than a few years ago). I've heard the name, but couldn't tell you who he was.

Actually, there's possibly a serious point on the family side. Years back (before my time) young fans used to have rattles and the like that contributed to the atmosphere. Wonder if there's something that young fans could have/buy these day that would have a similar effect without the chance of whacking the bloke in front of you with it (I'm assuming they aren't actually allowed anymore).
