Was just wondering do any of you have any unusual match day superstitions?

We have have some obvious ones:

Sit on same seat if doing well.
We don’t buy away match day programme as whenever we did in the past we lost and I end up throwing it away!
We don’t park in certain areas ie north of Ricoh as whenever we do , we seem to lose. So we park in foleshill area.

Weird one, but regardless of the sport or team, I don't like knowing the team before the game kicks off.

Once the game kicks off, if visual I will look and see, if on radio I will pull the team sheet up.

If we win a home game I’ll make sure I wear the exact same clothes for the next home game ...

I never wear the black away goalie kit with the swirly bit in the middle to any games because whenever i have we lose terribly.

Also i worry that if i don’t wear my light blue wristband for a few days we might ‘lose it’ and go on a bad run of form! The more days I wear it, the more points I save up and these translate into better performances. Don’t worry I’m wearing it today.

Mine is simple.

Travel to where the game is or sometimes in Coventry on way to an away game if it is still a few more hours away. Go to a Wetherspoons. Have a full English breakfast. Drink beer. Get to ground.

Yeah, if I watch or even listen to a Sky Blues game, we always lose!
Likewise Holland and PSV.
For the record, I was forced to work the Saturday afternoon we won the FA Cup so was unable to watch or even listen to it properly. Heard it on a TV somewhere in the distance.

Well, when I lived a stone's throw from Highfield Rd, I'd try different routes to the ground until one worked and we thrashed someone - I risked life and limb though, since the route through that dodgy park (it's name escapes me, the one adjacent to Vauxhall Street) was the one that worked most frequently.

Even if we won, I'd have to go home that way too, so I'd Linford Christie it to avoid being mugged, raped, stabbed and shot.

Won't wear anything claret or purple on a match day, also only go through gate 20 at the Ricoh one game a steward said there is nobody queuing at 21 and I said so what I am going in through 20

We’ve been in continual decline for about 25 years so please can you re-evaluate your car parking situation?!

I never have actually considered that could be the problem.
Not going today but will report back after next home game from new car parking spot
Should be minimum 5-0 win and automatic promotion this year
Champions league in 6 years and all hail SISU.

Judging by the smell I think a lot of people in E17 do that this season

That isn't superstition , that's just bloody annoying , getting in people's way trying to watch the game . :emoji_japanese_goblin:

And if you weren't such a big fucker I'd smash your lights out . ;)

That's the one, mate. Ironic for such a delicately-named place to be full of smackheads and paedophiles that lay in wait from the bushes.

Was legging it through after we beat Barnsley 1-0 in '98, and this creepy bloke came out of nowhere yelling " ffffookin' sssstop ya bastard!"

Suffice to say, he won't forget the day he was clotheslined by a chunky 18 year old who wasn't going to stop for anything short of a meteor strike.

The amount of fights you used to see going down the steps to the park!

The amount of beers I drank was the ratio to the amount of goals we scored. I have been sober for ages, must start drinking again!!

The only thing I do pre-match is to try and get in my seat before someone else does.

I've just started leaving getting ready until after the team news. It worked the last 3 games! Just sit about in pants then rush about after the team Has been announced
