Bellamy set to play
Former Coventry City striker Craig Bellamy is set to play for Cardiff at The Ricoh on Tuesday evening and is preparing himself for a hostile reception from the Coventry supporters.

Striker dilemma
Coventry City boss Aidy Boothroyd faces a 'lovely dilemma' for Tuesday's home clash with high flying Cardiff City.
Marlon King is finally fit again, having recovered from a thigh injury and could feature in attack or Boothroyd could stick with the Platt and Jutkiewicz partnership which claimed the first win at Portman Road in sixteen years on Saturday

If she does end up on the pitch let's hope her watch is working if we're winning!

Don't think we should change our line up but it wouldn't surprise me if Aidy changes it and puts just one up front (maybe King). I'm hoping for a 2-1 win with King to come on second half and get both but I'd rip your arm off if you offered me a draw!

Hello fellow Sky Blues Supporters i am new to this site, as for tomorrow's game i would be happy with a point to be honest.
so my heart says its going to be a close game so 1-1 but my brain says we will lose 2-1 i hope i am wrong.
as for King playing i would say keep the same team that played against Ipswich and bring him on at HT or like a 50th min sub if Juke or Platt isn't doing anyting unless we're 3-0 up lol (i can dream) ;)

:welcome: To SBT I think a point would be very good cause we have 3 points guaranteed against Barnsley on Saturday. :D then after Barnsley we have Sheffield United (Away) I think we can get somethink from that game aswell!

I can see us beating Cardiff and losing against Barnsley, but you are right, Sheffield Utd are shite at home. Their letting in goals for fun at the minute.

Recent respective form guides

Coventry City have only performed averagely at home, winning 3 and losing 2 of their last six. The Sky Blues's have scored 8 goals in these games, but conceded an alarming 9.

Cardiff City have an average recent record on the road, winning and losing 3 each of the last six games. A generous 8 goals have been both scored and conceded in this period.

Coventry City lie just outside the playoff positions in the Npower Championship, picking up 18 points from their 11 games so far. Cardiff City are holding the final promotion place in the Npower Championship, and have accumulated 23 points from the 11 games they have played so far.

I'm hopin for a 2-1 win but I reckon it will b a score draw. Think king shud come on at half time as Juke and plattini are starting to find sum form together.

been we seems to be beating our boggy teams this year i have got a funny feeling the we will find it hard against Barnsley hope it doesn't come true though lol. i would love for us to get about 5 points from the next 3 games and touch wood we seem to be scoring in every game apart from one (Hull) so i hope we keep on doing it.

I reckon it is time for us to either give a hammering or take a hammering. Hopefully it will be the first option :)

Call me crazy but I think the outcome of our season will be decided tonight. I agree with Nick, we'll either give a hammering or take one. All too many times in the past we've had great results that signal a change in fortunes for the club only to be brought crashing back to earth with a poor home performance or losing away to the bottom of the table team. For us to go places we HAVE to string results together. The lads must be on a high after overcoming the Portman road hoodoo, if we can't win at home against a strong championship rival when in good form, we won't be going anywhere this season.
Heres hoping!
COME ON YOU SKY BLUES!!!

I'm going to give a typical tentative City fan response here -

If only we could look ahead and see the Barnsley result and know that that was going to be 3 points - then I would most certainly take a draw tonight, preferably a 2 v 2 with Jukes (in open play) and Plattini keeping up the goalscoring momentum, but ...
... if we win tonight then not winning on Saturday would be a slight dissapointment.

However, I will stick my neck out and say 4 points from the next two games (however we get them) and I'll be happy!

I'm going to be on the chat during the game if anyone wants to join me! Also I've changed my mind and gone for a goal fest 3-2 to the city!

Hmmmm my "two pennuth" It certainly isn't a defining night in terms of our season. There's a long way to go yet and plenty of points will be flukey "fors" or regrettable" againsts. But it is another chance to test our mettle against a top side on great form at the moment. We can win or lose through luck, good play, a decision that goes one way or the other, or win or lose through sheer better play. I'm a Sky Blues fan through and through and "going our way" would be a point or more from tonight. Here's to a great night for the sky blues :D:D:D:D

i'm just listening on the radio, they say it was one of those that sometimes you get sometimes you don't. Think it was a good cross in, turner tugged chopras shoulder and he went over. grrrrrrrrr

One of the best performances i've seen in a long time at the Ricoh, it's hard to take now but over the season if we play like this we will hammer teams starting with Barnsley if we loose that i will get sven tattoeed on my arse cheek. :)

Anyway as Yazz would say "The only way is up BABY!"

I predict a 9th place finish.....Hmmmmmmmmmm:confused:

We was robbed.

If that was a penalty then we should have had about 3 penalties ourselves! It was like a fuckin carbon copy of last season, Cardiff are cheats! Rolling around at every opportunity same as last season, team full of fannies. I thought we looked good for the win, it was an entertaining game, end to end at times and the feeling of the game was boosted with the Bellamy and Bothroyd hating.. which seemed to work, Bothroyd was shite all game and scored a tap in and Bellamy should have a few bruises tomorrow from Gunnar, Carsley and Keogh... well done lads.

I think the players this season seem to want to win a lot more and seem like they care as well. We don't have quality like Cardiff but our work rate was top draw and we matched them all game as well as playing against the ref!!! I love the way how our team is big and strong this season as well, for too long our players have been bullied and pushed around and I love seeing us do that to other teams now :D

Look forward to Saturday if we can see another performance like that, hopefully it won't be ruined by another incompetant ref.

McSheffrey Wooooah

Just got back from the game, first thing that is the best i have seen us play in ages and the next i watched the pen and seen replays and i dont think it was if it was a pen the ref should of sent Turner off then but he didn't and if it was there should of being about 5 pens for each side if that was the case.
how can Cardiff always get away with it, last season we had a goal disallowed even though it happened a min before we scored and the season before we had 2 perfect goals disallowed.
but i can honestly say Turner did nothing wrong about the pen i even stop the replay to have a closer look and he was going down before we touched him and what about in the last min we got pushed to the gound but that wasn't a pen so all in all it was one rule for one and another rule for us,
but i have got to say if we play like that every week (which we wont but you never know) i can't see us losing to many games.
anyway rant over lets just get up to the Ricoh on sat to cheer the lads on again because i was so proud of the city support tonight

I really enjoyed tonight's match, there was something of an atmosphere! Bellamy did bugger all, and unfortunately remained unharmed! Bothroyd is an a**ehole, end of. I hope he gets pulled up for his reaction or "celebration" towards the City fans.
The lads played really well and it was nice to see Cranie have a shot!

The ref was very biased against us, and Cardiff got away with a hell of a lot! How they didn't rack up the yellow cards I don't know!

Looking forward to Saturday, just hope my voice recovers in time!

If anyone hasn't, you must listen to Aidy's comments after the game, he speaks so much sense and I liked the criticism he gave our own team as well as the ref.

Beninturin, I listened to AB's comments after the game and was massively impressed with his attitude, he made absolute sense in all of his comments, if he really wanted to say what he wanted, he would have said the ref was a complete tosser and the lino the same, however, he went on to say the team were niave in this game and were at time in awe of the opposition, i point i totally agree with, i think he is as passionate as us guy's and i for one is fully behind him as i feel we should have got at least a point against the best side in the league at the moment, that shows how far AB has taken this club, so i hope that all those negative fans will take a positive from this game and get behind the club and support them on saturday.
