I'd like to see Baker start too, with Gunnarson in the middle (with Carsley, although he's been rubbish last couple of time i've seen him). How far is Clingan from being fit now?

Westwood
Keogh Cranie Wood O'Halloran
Baker Gunnarson Carsley(c) McSheffrey
SuperFred Jutkiewicz

(Finally learned how to spell Jutkiewicz... i think!)

The NSPCC are looking for volunteers to attend the Ricoh Arena on Saturday January 15th from 12pm till 3pm to bucket collect and inform people about the Jaguar Text to Win competition with flyers.

All volunteers will then be able to enjoy a warm cup of coffee/tea and go and watch Coventry V Sheffield for free.

They need lots of volunteers so if you are interested please send an email to the NSPCC direct at [email protected]

I think it will be the same starting lineup as against Palace with a 2-1 win to us with Eastwood getting another.

I agree with Nick! They were really good last week!

I'm tempted to go 3-1 to us with Eastwood, Jutkiewicz & Gunnarsson scoring! Although I would like to see McSheffrey score

I'm going for 3 - 1 with 2 from Freddie and 1 from Lil Sheff.
As Blunts normally bring a few I reckon we might get 19K for this.

Horrible cold and general man flue been in bed since 8 o'clock last night and there's only one think I'd get out of bed for in times like this and that's to watch the city, then you think to yourself after 90 minutes why do I bother, but hey that's what watching city's about hey?? :)

Anyway predictions:

1-0 Super Fred to get the goal.

I think this will be a very close and scrappy game, don't have too much confidence in the city after the latest string of results. Very important game though, loss is not an option!

What is apparent more often than not this season, is that our best results have arrived by virtue of playing a direct style of football, as opposed todays more expansive play. Performances against Preston, Cardiff, Leeds and Norwich come to mind, (NIL POINTS). Against Doncaster we were awful and nicked it. I know that in the last 2 games that the football has been more pleasing on the eye, but, without doubt when we were scrapping, scratching and biting opposition legs, we were cemented in the top six. Winning means more to me than 'Tippy Tappy'. PUSB

Now that's what we want to see, an attacking passing style of play! Tore Sheff United a new one when we got the ball down. How many chances did we have today? On another day with a certain Mr King upfront it could have been 5 but again credit where credit's due to Mr Boothroyd this new found passing system is 100% better to watch and did you notice at the end and at half time standing ovations like i said fans can take loosing when you play well, attack and keep the ball on the deck what they can't stand is the tripe we were served of late constantly hoofing balls up field with no plan B. I for one hope this new style continues and the fans return to the Ricoh.

P.S Does Boothroyd read my comments on SBT after my little rant about possibly changing our style to a more technical style as we certainly have the players to do it and look what happend?

Me & my dad were talking to two Sheff Utd fans after the match and they couldn't believe how we hadn't won!! They said they felt lucky taking a point!

I can't see how we didn't win that! I wonder how many shots we had compared to theirs?

I know we had over 15 corners!

That was the best we've played all season.

Bakers best game for us.

Shows we can play good football when we want to.

That was the best 0-0 game I've ever seen at Coventry.
This style of football is more attractive to watch and makes you want to come back next week (advertised season tickets at a good time;)).
I think with a quality striker like King on the pitch we would have buried a few of those many chances.
Who would you change around next week or do you leave it the same with King and Clingon on the bench?
Juke worked so hard yesterday and the way other teams get away with holding onto him is unbelievable because its not even subtle anymore bordering assault at some stages.
Lets push back up the table now PUSB

Yea, so would i but i think we have got to learn to play football to be succesful in this league because we cant get scrappy 1-0 wins every week so i am quite happy about the game. If we carry on playing as we did on saturday then i think we will have a good chance of reaching the play-offs.

We played well on the deck but I would have traded that for a scrappy 1-0 win

And that's what we haven't been doing when we play scrappy so i'll stick to the passing style everyday of the week! :)

Great performance, seriously unlucky not to get a win. We held posession really well which is something we never seem to do. Baker gave us another dimension, it was really good to finally have someone to run at players and that could put a good ball in. Jutkiewicz and McSheffrey both had very good games too, and it was good to see O'Halloran play the whole game and Cranie look solid at CB. I imagine for the next game Lukas will drop down to the bench for Marlon to come in (you can hardly drop Freddy after his recent goalscoring), but he'll definitely give Aidy something to think about at least. If we play like that every game then we could beat anyone in the league, let's hope they can keep it up. 2 very stern tests in our next 2 games!
