Pretty sure support for Wasps and the RICOH Arena debacle has cross-party support.
If the Tory (or any other party) councillors had a stance scrutinising the role of CCC and Wasps in our exile, they’d get my vote.
My experiences with councillors (at university) has been very negative so far. The people I came into contact with had a heightened sense of self-importance and looked down on people. Put me off.
It’s almost like a microcosm of a lot of the nonsense at Westminster. Careerists with their own agendas and jumped up levels of self-importance only really interested in looking after themselves. Even when you look at the elder statesmen of both parties in Westminster that have gone recently (Clarke and Skinner to name just two) they have been replaced by jumped up pricks more interested in using their parliamentary office to chat up and perv on young interns. Although I may not agree with his politics, I’d take 1000 Ken Clarke’s over a jumped up knob like Umanna who is only in it to extend his gravy train.Coventry Labour are really at a tipping point at the moment.
The local group (The ones which wouldn't be out of place in the Conservative Party) have lost control of Coventry South, and this will cascade down in that area to the Wards, given time, with new councillors being selected. Also, Coventry North West, which is balancing on 52% - 48% in favour of the Labour Tories is ready to tumble.
The smallest organization of people power with people joining Labour within Coventry will easily tip the balance and get in new councillors, away from this crock of shit we have at the moment.
There is no better time to join Coventry Labour and making your voice heard.
I think it's his general gloating & the 2 that went either side of that one, the first of which he's since deleted - guilty conscience?

I had an argument yesterday on Twitter with someone who refused to believe that Wasps has hedge fund involvement. But that second tweet also applies to Wasps' owners. Almost certainly not a dig at them but it covers them.
What was said in the earlier tweet you refer to?He was clever with this statement, kept it very factual, twat had to delete his tweet earlier this week because it wasn’t and it clearly demonstrated bias against the club and he cannot do that under the 7 principles of public life conduct for these officials.
I wrote to him asking him to report himself to the ethics committee on this and to ensure he removes himself from any decision making involving the club in all future situations. Sent some back some B/S to me about being an ex season ticket holder and didn’t basically answer the question so I’ll write to the committee for him, it will be easier that way.

Maton is poor mans Umanna.

Organization at a ward level could unseat most of these asshats whom call themselves councillors.

Absolutely, that's why it's sheer hypocrisy. He has lauded the sale of the Ricoh to Wasps despite them reneging on many of the conditions that came with it.
There is nobody to call him out though, the Tory council have sided with them (Labour) , CET support them, its like Starlanist Russia!
I’m pretty sure that SISU were the council’s preferred bidder over the likes of the Manhattan Project at the time.I think it's his general gloating & the 2 that went either side of that one, the first of which he's since deleted - guilty conscience?

Totally - because they didn’t want the stadium.I’m pretty sure that SISU were the council’s preferred bidder over the likes of the Manhattan Project at the time.
Whereas at a national level it’s positively orgasm inducing! My god local politics is depressing
What else have Wasps reneged on?
The big one being the would not ‘endanger’ CCFC...
@cllr_kevinmaton So will @coventrycc support building new #CCFC stadium in city? Assuming our owners can afford it this time…
@CovBackToRicoh@coventrycc why would we. We support sustainable businesess.

Overson seems like a top bloke. Wouldn’t surprise me if he’s involved in the stadium project.

I didn't know he was that rich.
HahahahaCoventry are trying to develop nuclear weapons? This is way more serious than I thought!
There are some decent councillors out there - I've met them.
Some do the job out of an old-fashioned desire to help other people and improve the City, some do it to raise their own profile and climb the greasy pole into political office, and some do it because of the opportunities for corruption and favours.
My mum always said that if you couldn't say anything nice about someone, say nothing. This is what I've got to say about Maton, " ".

A desperate weirdo.Who is this bellend is he a council employee?
I was described similarly in an employment tribunal case many many years ago. I’m not sure it’s relevant to other than the case in question. Having said that I have a couple of business friends who were banned from the Ricoh back in the day who harbour very ill will to her and SisuWho is this bellend is he a council employee?
