Initially it feels quite a lot for someone Grimes age... But was just checking back, Gary McAllister was 31 when we signed him. He feels like exactly what we've been missing on every level.I'm told 3.5 million gets him
And that's what we've done today apparently so I'd be very confident
I agree with that list but someone like Ao Tanaka at Leeds is up there too mate, he's become so vital for LeedsFor me he is in the top 5 midfielders in this league
In no particular order
Josh Brownhill
Ben Whiteman
Alex Mowatt
Matt Grimes
Gustavo Hamer
that's a stealI'm told 3.5 million gets him

Frank clearly wants to play 4/3/3Actually would be slightly sad to see BTA go.
It's been a very rapid turnaround but I think I agree with that (whereas I would have said the opposite a week ago)Actually would be slightly sad to see BTA go.

If we get grimes over the line gives us real flexibility on whether we go forI'm looking forward particularly when Haji & EMC are fit again with Grimes pinging passes for them to run on to. With Torp & Rudoni in there too the attacking options will be exciting to watch.
How many killer passes you made?

You have had a shocker here mateBinks was supposedly on £30k a week at Bologna. (Believe what you want)
Bologna were prepared to let him go, they wanted him off the pay roll, but wanted a significant fee. Binks however, didn't want to take a pay cut.
We were originally prepared to pay 3 or 4 million as a fee, but the wages would of been around £10k a week, this was the stumbling block.
So to cut a very long story short, Bologna let him go for peanuts (undisclosed fee) and we were then able to match his wages.
The overall cost to us over the length of his contract then became affordable, and Bologne got him off the pay roll.
If Doug keeps him for 3 years (for example) then sells him for £4.5million, the net cost is zero.
That's how football finance works.
So people coming on here stating the wage figures are bollocks, based on absolutely nothing is just rediculous.
Yep my favourite goal of many a yearI agree , scored all the big goals in big games, that turn and goal at Ipswich ..
Don't get me started
Don't be silly.FFS, when Sheaf comes back we'll have to play 3-7-0 to fit all our midfielders in.
It's Blackburn that are said to be back in for him, but it's the thought that countsI'd drive BTA to Swansea if it meant getting Matt Grimes in. He's class.
Damn, I miss the days of you offering out handjobs for unrealistic signings that actually come off… made the forum a more happier and funny place

In that case, I'll drive to Swansea, pick up Grimes, head to Blackburn drop BTA off, and then head back to Coventry. Everyone's a winner. It's Blackburn that are said to be back in for him, but it's the thought that counts
That is pure bollocks guaranteedI'm not sure I believe it but I guess the 30k rumour comes from here:
Where Binks salary has apparently been verified by two inside sources (the only one at the club with this verification mark).
Not sure if mentioned elsewhere in the thread, but Grimes has missed 4 games of league football in 6 seasons. Compare that to all of the football Sheaf has missed.
Get this over the line and it’s an excellent signing, feels like an extremely important one not just for this season but beyond.

I saw this tooInteresting that he’s handed in a transfer request when THREE WEEKS AGO he posted this…
Jheeze you’d be pissed as a fan.
This would make me feel like when Marlon King said he wasn’t leaving and then ditched us

Blackburn came back with an improved offer for BTA yesterday. Evidently around the fee we paid in the summer
Wouldn't be surprised at all of hes the one that makes way to finance the majority of Grimes
That makes sense, as a purchase it was so out of line with all SISU's previous recent transactions. I have always wonderedOverson brought Godden
Marsden and Cook in midfield was great to watch!
ah, a wum account
toodles
Is it,It’s Astute
