Mmmm ni then or greedBecause they are anticipating the rise along with minimum wage increase. Poor Sainsbury are sacking 3000 as they are only forecast to make in excess of £1 billion profit this year.
yes i do
How come loads of companies are already saying they have hit rid of loads of people
Is he better glue than a fit Sheaf? He will be what is known as the ‘glue’ for this team. Exactly what we need.

Why not just make 900m rather than 1bn though if your Sainsbury’sTo be fair it’s not just the NI increase that’s turning employers towards staff cuts. The minimum wage increase means that the gap between skilled / semi-skilled workers and unskilled worker pay is reduced. As a result everyone expects a pay rise (often understandable from their view).
The other on costs such as Employer pension costs add straws to the camel’s back.
One other biggie not considered often is Employer Liability Insurance cost, which like house insurance and car insurance and every other insurance has gone through the roof.
As a result employers are having to think about viability of employee levels.
Because like all Supermarkets their number one priority is shareholders . Number two is management bonuses and they run shop floor operations with an absolute bare minimum of staff. Why not just make 900m rather than 1bn though if your Sainsbury’s

Can’t speak for them, and it does seem a bit greedy. Why not just make 900m rather than 1bn though if your Sainsbury’s
Just read he completed the most tackles in the Championship this season. Don't know if any of them were any good and he has played every game which would bump it up.
OMG does this mean we might change our mind on Grimes? To be fair it’s not just the NI increase that’s turning employers towards staff cuts. Sainsbury's like most other supermarkets are under pressure from the discounters so are having to find ways to continue to cut prices while offering a lot more choice and have a lot more real estate than others essentially its a race to the bottom and has been for a long time which is why during inflationary times Lidl and Aldi pass them on quicker than the others. They are brutal though mainly out of necessity. The other thing to bare in mind is a lot of pension providers hold Sainsbury's shares so be careful what you wish for in terms of losing profit margins. All of it sucks to be honest. Why not just make 900m rather than 1bn though if your Sainsbury’s
