Brilliant signing if he stays fit the rest of the season with
hamer and ohare around him then we will be consolidating a mid table finish at the end of season as ohare and hamer can't help to get better and will get better for the experience of learning from him.
It's amazing how we have no income as a club they keep backing robins so credit where credits due to joy opening her purse once again she is certainly trying to make up for the early years of sisu tenure. If she give us all the new ground on notification the local council who control uni of Warwick it will crown a great era of robins and boddy and 12months on the pitch PUSB

Do you not watch any football other than us? He's been playing to a high level for the past decade when fit.
Watched practically every game we played live home and away last 5 years. Living near London that's a big time commitment.

Yeah I watch alot of other footy too especially during lockdown and over the years. Just saying I don't ever remember seeing him play. Which I imagine the same with most on here.

James is an excellent signing as a fill in for Kelly. Nothing more, nothing less. Just what we needed. His contract is up in the summer so we could have him on a free long term. He has to prove himself. next years budget will increase so wages we could offer would be more than adequate for a player at 29 and released by Leicester. Stay injury free and he could end his career at Coventry. Will he keep his place once Kelly is fit? Who knows. Kelly was awesome before his injury. So we have strengthened really well. What i don't see happening is Crowley. Don't think that is going to make us any stronger than what we have.

That thread they're just arguing that he's not the best but probably top 5. Good enough for me.

I try to stay clear of that site because it’s a lunatic asylum. But I’ve just read that link, and one of them makes an excellent point, sums up my feelings too. Whilst I think James is the best player I’ve seen in a Barnsley shirt in the past 15 years or so. (obviously John Stones as gone on to be a better player, and was always going to, but in a Barnsley shirt he wasn’t in my opinion) I’d also say I’d rather have Hourihane over James, not because he’s better, because in my opinion he isn’t, it’s close but James edges it for me, but what Hourihane dose is better to watch, he was a edge of your seat type of player making exciting and entertaining things happen in every game, The same can be said about an in his prime Adam Hammill I’d take him over James but he’s not a better player but what he did was better to watch.

James is a fantastic footballer and Hamer will finally have someone on a similar wavelength. The more I’ve thought about it, the more I want us to sign Crowley too. Potentially that’s a very strong midfield quartet of James, Hamer, O’Hare and Crowley. With Sheaf, who I personally rate, and Kelly when he’s back that’s a stacked squad

I dont even think Stones is a good player now at Man City..if everybody was fit there he wouldnt be playing but he has been a bit better of late

Barnsley talk about bad luck........You escape one lunatic asylum only to walk directly into another. :D

Just as a comparison does anyone on the Barnsley forum demand taxis year after year for a manager who has achieved successive promotions against the odds or go mental if they see a player smiling in training? Do any of the lunatics on the Barnsley asylum light up the Samaritans switchboard if you ever go 1-0 down? Any threads labeled "Fuming" where the inmates simply try to outdo each other for weeks on their levels of anger linked to a very unlucky away defeat?

If there really is more lunacy on another forum (still finding it hard to believe) compared to this one - I'm signing up just for the entertainment value during lockdown.

That Sunderland forum is pretty wild. But kind of in a way where you feel dead sorry for their minority of normal fans with realistic expectations and a sense of perspective.
