I think we should have one ‘b’ per promotion. So if we go up to the Prem he’ll be Robbbins. Obviously lose one for relegation. Back to L2 and he’s Roins.
The g was for the checkatrade trophy! So he started as Robins, the Roins, then Robins last year and Robbins this year - is that right?
When do we add the 'g'?
Barnsley chose not to extend his loan

If it was their decision, I suspect it was because they couldn't afford to keep him rather than the bullshine the manager has given about giving others their chance.
we’ve spent a million quid this week. I think the major reason will have been we don’t do loans if we can help it. We will have tried for a permanent deal, at an affordable price, once we knew it wasn’t happening we’ve moved on.It’s seen as a waste of a squad place, if we’re not going to get long term benefits for the team, or bank balance. We signed him in the hope he’d help keep us up and I think he as, now it’s time to concentrate on getting a squad together for next season.
we give up possession, we allow teams have 70% of the ball, but they don’t have many shot or shots on target. We’re grafting all the time, theirs no stats for what he does, closing down and positioning himself so players can’t pass to where they want to, you’ll see lots of sideways and backwards passing just in front of him. He does everything easily and makes everything look simple and effortless.Any insight into why his stats are so poor? Does he just sit in front of the back four and recycle possession?
weord to have such a disparity between fan perception and ability that way

Does your manager think your safe now this season and is blooding younger players in as they will be starting next season?we’ve spent a million quid this week. with a bit of luck, Kelly and James will do a complete season between them on the pitch and the injury listRobins saying Matty James is here with a view to making perm in the summer
With Kelly & James Cdm I don’t think we will need a keeper anymorewith a bit of luck, Kelly and James will do a complete season between them on the pitch and the injury list

The telegraph article says that's pretty much the case. Assuming he's as good as we seem to think, then from an experience and ability point of view it seems like an excellent piece of business.Makes sense. Assume they want to assess his fitness.
I’m not sure pal, but I know the recruitment committee are trying to bring in players on contracts in every window 3or4 in January 5or6 in summer, so we’re not having to replace 10 at a time anymore, last summer we brought in 16 players because we’d had to sell half our squad due to contract length, it took until December to get our second win of the season, because they needed to settle in, now we’re trying to blood players throughout the season one at a time we’ve done 3 or 4 in the first half, I’m expecting the same in the second half, Alex Mowatts contract is up in the summer, he’s gone from never being subbed to being subbed most weeks to allow the lads behind him some game time ready for next season.
I am not a fan of too many loan players but the quality of loans we have brought in recent years has improved considerably. I shudder when thinking back to the Mowbray period and after (pre Robins)Hate the "transfer committee" idea, but really like your model of not having many loans. Part of me thinks I'd like us to go that way, but think we have the balance ok at the moment. Although we have 5 loans, 2 (maybe 3) are with a view to permanent transfers, and one we sold last year and have kept for an extra 12 months so far.
We used the loan system perfectly last season, a couple of key players that we couldn’t have afforded surrounded by our own players. We may be a little loan heavy this season but as has been mentioned one used to be ours, one has been here over a year and two are possible future signings.
We didn’t t think we had a chance of signing O’Hare and we did. MR does some sort of Jedi mind trick and gets players to sign.....whatever skill it is MR seems to be able to convince players to want to come and play for us.I'd say 3 are possible future signings with Ostigard being out of contract at the end of the year. I think we'll be a long shot to keep him but I'm sure the club will make a pitch.
I’d love for us to sign him bit I think Brighton would be mad to let him go so not letting me get my hopes up.I'd say 3 are possible future signings with Ostigard being out of contract at the end of the year. I think we'll be a long shot to keep him but I'm sure the club will make a pitch.

I was about to say that they might use the franchise tag on him. Too much American sports for me.Doesn't sound like he wants to stay there as he won't get game time. Lad seems to have his head screwed on. Wouldn't be surprised if he went off to the German league.

To be fair, we used them sparingly last season. This season Giles and McCallum are familiar faces while Sheaf will sign permanently if we stay up. Think our 5 on loan looks worse than it is in reality
Agree, the only issue it leaves is whether it now stops us using the loan market for a striker.
Joy has been more than fair in my eyes regarding budgets we have to work within our limit whay doesn’t help is we have people like Baka, kasta etc using up fundsThink Joy really needs to intervene and inject some funds. This isn't the same as us just squandering the budget, it's a horrendous run of injuries and we just cannot enter the next league games with just Max and Baka
