according to Twitter, anyone got any inside info on how he is doing, expected time back etc. I don’t care what Grendel thinks, I personally think he will be the Spark our strikers need.
Agree, IF he can get fit. Not sure he will though, not in time for the end of the season.

he tweeted the other day that he was back in training today, don't know whether that meant with the ball or just fitness work.

No point rushing him. We have missed him. or if you think he wouldn't have cut the mustard, a player of his ilk.

I wonder if that had any thing to do with JCH moving on? Perhaps he's closer to a return than we think

I'd be very surprised if he was though.

He will just be running about on the pitch. No chance he will be going near any other players just yet.

Hard to say, Harry. He may well have struggled at this higher level, but our strikeforce had been such a failure this season he may have proved to be a refreshing change.

Guess we will find out next season

At his ratio from last season he would have had at least 2 overhead kicks and another from outside the area, plus a few more mundane goals. If JCH managed 6 you would think Max would have had 9 or 10 at least.

I spoke to him on Saturday in the fan village. I asked how he was getting on and he said OK but did not give any time scales. Indicating next season to me.

Won't see him in action until next season
He's just started light running
Will be several weeks of building up his leg strength and only running in straight lines
Initially easy runs then gradually increasing pace in a fast stride pattern
Only once he's through that can he start to think about sprinting ahead of being able to twist and turn safely
Reckon we'll see him as a late sub in next pre season

Remember he was around at the start of this season, and certainly didnt pull up any trees

He only started the 1st game before the Blackpool game where he did his knee. The other 2 he was a late sub. He wasn't prolific in league 2, so can't see that he would be in league 1, but his all round game makes him worth a spot.

Yeah obviously goals are a worry but he offers a different dimension to any of our other strikers at the minute. However, if the injury has the same effect as they did on Stokes, Andreu, Ogogo, Brown, can we really expect him to play league football again?

Brown and Ogogo playing. Jones us the one you should have cited as an example. Max will be ok. Can feel it in my water.

Jodi's game is different and if he's to have a career I think he'll need to adapt his game massively. As a pacey wide man, his need to stop suddenly, twist and turn and run at pace is much greater. Psychologically he needs to be 100% that it wont fail if he's to offer 100% into that run and sudden stop. Anything less means less chance of success and I'd be amazed if he could come back from that. I hope to be proved wrong, but perhaps we need to teach him to tackle and turn him into a wing-back.

Didn't use Jones as he hasn't been given a chance to return yet due to the new injury. Brown and Ogogo are seemingly half the players they were pre-injury.

I think realistically no-one is fully up to speed, mentally or physically, until 18 months after an acl reconstruction, not for the majority of professional athletes anyway.

Tbf it was his first year as a pro and at the back end of the season he scored more so clearly learning in that area. His ratio also similar (9 in 50) to Cyrille's who was also about much more than just goals. Of course I'm not unfairly comparing him to Cyrille on any level, but holding up and creating space for the level we're at is relative. Hopefully when he returns he'll kick on again and add more goals.
