Max has been a decent player for us and has kept stepping up. I think it is only his age going against him which restricts his development potential.

We have had far worse strikers who we paid good money for.

A League One club could be a good move for him. His character seems quite robust and he keeps his head down and keeps plucking away. He has developed while at the club.

I love max and think he’s a good player but he’s 29 now and looks like he’d be 4th choice here. I’d like him to stay but can understand he needs to go and be first choice somewhere. Gave me my favourite memory as a cov fan in that second leg vs Notts county and for that will be fondly remembered.

The original person who linked this also just linked that Bournemouth were after Kastaneer. I feel like there’s nothing in this.

Imagine this happened and Kasta starred for them as they won the league

I wouldn't even be mad

When was the last time a player was so universally put down? Very strange

I mean burge got stick but not like this

Bakayoko as a football is on a different planet to Biamou - embarrassing

If biamou was a better option than Godden, Robins would know this from watching them train week in week out and also through game time...

Biamou has scored 28 league goals in 146 games in his career
Godden 88 league goals in his last 167 league games, better than a 1 in 2

The gap in talent is big

It is laughable that this discussion is being had. I have a lot of time for Biamou, his two goals at Notts County will forever be in my heart but he wasn't really up to the mark of a week in week out player in league 1 and certainly isn't in the Championship. Wish him the best but we have to strive for better.

I'd like to keep them all and like Max but I do think Baka is quite a bit ahead in terms if age, development, raw attributes, potential,
Baka does not help himself but some of the stick he takes is unreal.

However also no reason to slate Max either if he does go he has been a great servant and role model for the club and always gave his all if we can't afford to keep all 4 or he doesnt want to stay to be 4th choice I wish him all the best!

There is concerns whether Godden who has scored consistently can make the step up never mind Biamou

Some of our supporters question whether godden, with his exceptional return over the last 4 years, can do the job in the championship let alone max... I understand the sentiment but to improve as a team we have to let go the players who have no chance of improving if they aren't already where they need ro be ... Baka is relatively young and can realistically still improve, Max is at his ceiling and probably has been since we got promoted from league 2.

It's like saying troy deeney is better than Harry kane

I wish him all the best

because a proportion of our fans are dickheads who seem to enjoy putting our own players down, there always has to be at least one who can never do anything right. As for Biamou, god only knows why anyone would have anything but massive goodwill towards him, but there you go. He was great for us, never let us down with some important goals and he has his place in our history as we tried to get back up the leagues & had a brilliant couple of seasons. There are probably at least 50+ players we’ve had in the last few yrs who didn’t do a fraction of what he did for us, I hope he gets a great move, makes some good money and gets to show another set of fans what he’s like on and off the pitch.

Victim of the clubs success, which is the same as a few others. It's up to him now on how he progresses, good luck and cheers for the goals!

Max leaves he leaves, don’t go on this we love you bit. Got some decent goals but although not as hard as Grendel he has a point In my opinion Max has done all he can do for us so we move on. Good for him too, plenty of clubs in leagues below where he’ll do okay.
Remember though, there’s no room for sentiment in football.

Why would you back against one of our own players. I’ll never ever understand this mentality.

“hOpE I’m PrOvEN wRoNG”

Fair enough, I didn’t see it like that. It’s one cov player moving to another league and the only winner was charity.

Yes this seems to me a reasonable headteachers end of year report .
There will be no parental sanctions this summer.
