Right now as we speak, Max is a better player technically than Baka. He wins more in the air, he holds the play up better, has a better touch and vision. Swap the ages and Max stays. I can see why we would favour Baka though from a business / development point of view.

If we play the same formation as last year it's likely that the central striker role will be battled out between Godden and Walker. It looks like Baka is the favoured striker for the third choice. The chance of Biamou being used much is unlikely even with the odd injury. If he's happy to stay, I don't think we will get many better strikers willing to be 4th choice / not in the squad most weeks and he's a popular lad around the place, I just cant see the point in replacing him.

They both have their strengths and weaknesses, but Baka is better technically and is the best at little touches and layoffs with his back to goal of all our strikers.
If this goes through, happily have a £20 charity bet for anyone who thinks Baka will score more in the championship than max will in league one .
My money is on max
I think he could do a good job here - at least give him a chance to prove himself - he doesn’t normally let us down.
I would back him to rise to this level given the opportunity.
All hail King Max!
I like Max, feel he could be that good last roll of the dice player even in the championship. He ain't starting for sure but if the chips are down 10mins to go who else in the squad could you chuck on who could potentially release a 30yrd howitzer or twat in a ridiculous bicycle kick?
If he is happy playing that role can't think of anyone cheaper.
Don’t see why lots on here see Max as being on his way he might be but he is part of the 4 striker group as he was at the start of last season if he gets a chance and shines Robins will play him and will certainly use him as sub to change tact if and when it’s needed.
I think Robins is always fair to his players so will most likely have said he is free to find a club if he’d prefer that to a few sub appearances and cup games
