Does anybody know how many players we have left in the squad who have played a first team game once these two go? We must be close to single figures now.
I make it 21 including Keogh and Cranie who have played a first team game
Does that include Ruffels and Willis who only played a tiny amount of 1st team footie?
Yes as the question was who has played a first team game - It's 16 if you take out the one gamers.
I can see it now Thorn and Harrison turn up for pre season at the training ground and all they see is tumbleweed blowing across the pitch in front of a small bunch of kids playing in the background, 'There you go Andy I'm sure you can work with that' says Fisher.
please let it be true. please hibs take the rest of the shower too
Will the last experienced footballer to leave please turn off the lights.
We might as well not have a youth team/academy next season as it will be indistinguishable from the 1st team. We are becoming a total joke.
Obviously when we are under a transfer embargo :thinking about:Calm down. Obviously we will sign players...

That said I do think we will sign some players, however not nearly enough. I see maybe 4 signings which will be nowhere near enough to finish in the top half, never mind a promotion push.
cant help thinking 100k for McPake is a real shame
He could do a proper job for us
Now he's fit, I completely agree. But he wants to go home, and Hibs don't have much money. Neither does anyone else in Scotland! 100k is probably Hibs transfer budget for next season.
I can't agree with you on this, OSB. I think that we will need McPake next season. But I'm sure that we will let him go if Hibs offer more than a fiver for him.not sure either is a great loss but just get on and do it !
When did he spit his dummy out! He's always remained complimentary to the club. Yes he said he wated first team football, but what footballer doesn't?
If he moves on, best of luck to him. Be nice if we could get a younger, less injury prone version of him with any monies we receive (although us reinvesting is very very unlikely)
i dont remember him demanding to go out he asked to go out on loan and AT said yesHe had a serious back injury, loads of other injuries. AT showed faith in him and got him a year's extension.
He comes back from injury. Keogh and cranie were doing very well. As oppose to sitting on the bench waiting for his chance to get in then stay in. He demanded a loan
AT said he did not want him to go but did not want a player here who was asking to go.
With our threadbare squad we needed him. We were very lucky neither cranie or Keogh got injured or suspended.
If the did get injured, we would have needed to turn to him and he was not there.
IMO he put himself over the teams needs. He did not repay the trust that had been put in him.
It suited him to return to Scotland.
I really rate him as a player but this left a sour taste.
