Exactly!

It would go from drop the legals before we talk about playing at the Ricoh, to pay the fees. All the while they won't get questioned about it either.

It was CCC who stated that, not Wasps. The twat who said that and actually no member of CCC can get involved in this as ACL is under new ownership.
If SISU drop JR2 that would put Wasps on the defensive, and if they then insisted that SISU pay the council before they talk then at last, you actually have proof of a conspiracy.

The EFL response was exactly as i'd expected. If wasps continue to refuse to negotiate, then the EFL will have no choice but agree to another temporary move.

Sad really.

Guess what? SISU have choices that they can very, very easily make with regards to BPA and the Ricoh...1) Drop litigation and talk sensibly with Wasps....2) nothing stopping them joining with CRFC and upgrading ,the capacity(CCC have said they will not stand in their way) There is nothing that EFL would be inclined to agree another move away from Coventry. I personally look at the situation and see nothing to stop, at least not the BPA move anyway. So no reason not to stop CCFC moving out of Coventry given the facts in front of me.

I'm not saying conspiracy, I am saying they knew about the legals before they started discussions that they said themselves were going well. It is almost like it is a way of getting a better deal or a bargaining chip to blame the legals they knew about already.

He was the one saying pay up and they can sort it out. It is almost blackmail.

Pressure should be on Wasps and CCFC to sort a deal. You seem strongly against pressuring them though. Nothing wrong with hammering them both to get a deal done.

It is obvious what would happen though.

Fans Group - "We are going to pressure all parties to get this sorted"
Fans Group - " we are meeting with wasps this week"
Fans Group - "It is all SISU"

Same as every other time. It just takes a "It's all SISU" and other parties can take the piss.

Council leader gives a "no comment" when asked about CCFC being damaged after the conditions about the wasps move, not a peep heard since.

That isn't saying don't pressure SISU, that's saying pressure them all. None of this "ill be friends with you because you dont like SISU either".

Hammering has to be in the right place or its just (background) noise.

CCFC need to start manipulating and playing soft ball, they have been here since 1883 with a bit of clever PR the Cov public would soon come around and even turn on Wasps. Someone tell Joy this is not the US, we do things different here.

No they wouldn't turn on Wasps. Wasps just say "SISU" and it is back to anger.

Wasps put the prices up on food and car parking and it's SISU's fault FFS.

The telegraph would never campaign against Wasps either would they?

I've never been a gambling man, but I would say if CCC said to SISU. We'll make available enough land for you to build your own Stadium with parking spaces, and a training ground, and even "Student accomodation"..(Never get enough Student accomodation)..... I'd bet Fisher and Sepalla would fooking shit themselves. Just saying like!

Wasps will want a contract for more than 10 years. Helps with stadium sponsorship and bonds. They also reportedly want a deal without break clauses? Wasps will also want a substantial increase in rent. This is a PR ploy by a councillor* (surprise surprise) to push the club into a corner. It is the club being pushed into a corner and not SISU as it is the club who will be liable for the rent. I have said time and again the council needs to justify it's sale to Wasps therefore CCFC is seen as collateral damage. I get the impression fans will be happy with a rent increase because it will be SISUs fault and they deserve it. The club don't though. We have been used by the council in their attempt at playing arena operators and we're now being pushed to paying for Wasps adventure in Coventry.

Most people knew what the FL would say, we know there only concern is fixtures and not being sued.

*Would IMO have carried more credence if it had come from an ex-player or manager or even Elliott or Hoffman. By it being a councillor it looks and feels political.
All opinion { and biased at that } and conjecture !

Sis aren't going to drop thr legals and as much as non of us want them, nor should they if they believe they have a case. I also don't believe wasps "legal noise" bollocks, I believe they are bullshitting and trying to distress the club and force them into a position where they have to sign a significantly worse take it or leave it offer. This is why IMO the trust and ccfc fansand journalists and local politicians should be exerting pressure ( I would say more, but at present there is non) on wasps, who are having a completely free reign on this.

I was under the impression that there is a clause currently preventing professional football from taking place at the Butts? Therefore if wasps refuse to negotiate, the club will have little choice but to temporary move out the city.

Personally, when push comes to shove I don't believe we will move out the city, I believe wasps will reluctantly agree another short term deal at the final hour, which is why I'm refusing to get angry about it all at the minute. It seems to me that people, the CT, MPs, etc are pushing this as an agenda, I just can't see it happening again.

Opinion and conjecture? So do you disagree that CCFC being tied to a long term deal will not assist with stadium sponsorship and bonds? Do you not think Wasps will want an increase in rent? No matter how big or small. Do you not agree if the club is being pushed into a corner, it will impact the club and not SISU?

Do you not agree if the Wasps move fails it will reflect badly on the council?

I didn't say I disagree with all of your opinions and ideas Zack but they are just that. Some things are stated almost as fact by posters concerning all subjects. CCFC have no choice here do they, they have nowhere else to go despite all the bullshit from Fisher and Co. Sickening and wrong as it is Wasps are in charge here. Yes they will want a rent increase because lets be honest £100k per annum is paltry.
I'm not happy with the club being separated from SISU either, they have done what they like with it for 9 years now, they own it lock, stock and barrel, their people manage and run it and their financiers are pulling all the strings. The club thanks to SISU have no friends apart from its fan base, we are already in a corner. Wasps will make a commercial decision as I've said based on the rent increase and the CCFC fans footfall onto their concourses and to give value to their sponsors and advertisers etc. All this posturing by Fisher is just yet more bullshit to keep the increase down and buy time for litigation action to be completed.

to use the old phrase of disgust,
'you can't get your hat on' with the EFL,
extract from the news editor of the Cov Tel article18th oct;

Mr Clarke was told that Sisu own Coventry City & was asked who owns Sisu.

'The last time I looked it's holdings were mostly in the Caribbean' he replied. 'I don't know. The Football League knows because it knows who owns every club. I knew once but I have forgotten.
With 72 clubs I can't keep all of that information in my head. I would have to go and look up'

I'm not surprised, there were a few fools on here who said the football league wouldn't allow it to happen again and quoted it as gospel truth anytime it came up

Maybe CCC now believe they have finally got a chance to finally drive Sisu out. We are at a situation now where 99.9% of fans want them gone,CCC want them gone and probably Wasps/ACL want them gone as well. The problem for SISU is they are fast running out of options, and their bluff on a new stadium, has been called.
Maybe CCC have 'encouraged' Wasps to break off negotiations with SIsu, in the full knowledge that Sisu will not drop their legal actions. Now fast forward just over 12 months which is not that long away,to January 2018. We will then be into our 5th season since Fisher promised us a new stadium. If the current situations remains unchanged., what do Sisu then say to the FL.
How likely are they t find another league stadium to move too. It is doubtful that Northampton will agree again, Walsall said no before. And even if they were to find another stadium, how many fans would follow them this time. Their revenue streams would collapse to a pittance, and since we are told the club needs to be sufficient, how could they fund a team on virtually no income. The club would then be entering a death spiral. How would they even pay wages with virtually no income.

They would just liquadate the club to rapturous support from it's fan base. The club would then attempt to rise from the bottom with a split fan base.

I find it bewildering fans call BPA and capacities of 15000-18000 unambitious yet are happy and willing the club to be liquadated to start again at the bottom. With no guarantees of reaching the football league. The same fans who think we have a right to be in the championship I may add.
