I think we are in for a very bumpy ride in the next few weeks/matches.
I have Brighton tickets but am really not looking forward to traveling down there for a tonking. Was going to Crewe aswell but am going off that idea too.
Games coming up against Wycombe/Mansfield and Luton will be tough and can only see three defeats. The games are then running out, I just hope we can limp over the line into the playoffs.
Because it's happened before this season and we have. To be honest I'm not the sort to cry into my beer after a defeat and I never have been. I'm not the kind of.fan who think it's all over after a defeat and think we are world beaters after a victory .
Another supporter who settles for shit
Difficult one this. Support your team and it means you 'settle for shit'. So, do we all walk away? Or does moaning on here and social media mean we aren't settling for shit? What are you doing in the "Not settling for shit" stakes?
I don't think it's over yet, but it is a big concern that we may well slide now.
Stating the bleedin obvious, but Tuesday is crucial.
According to some fans, the next game, whenever it is, is always crucial. You might argue every game between now and May is crucial.
For me, it's just another game in the season-long grind.
As I mentioned last night, there's no need to be so melodramatic in making statements like "it's not over yet" - we're 2 points outside the play-offs, of course it's not over! 2 games lost in a row but before that we'd won 6/7 at home in a row!
We have previously gone whole seasons without winning away and now you hear fans moaning we've "only" won 5 away games this season!
Questions have to be asked though. Why are we playing hoof ball so much for e.g?Tend to agree wirh OP. I.knew there would be a meltdown on here which is why I've pretty much taken the more hysterical threads and posts with a pinch of salt.
We lost. We'll bounce back.
I'm not dramatising, the very opposite - I'm telling everyone to calm down and stop moaning!Jesus Christ - people are talking about the trend etc, most aren’t giving up....
Stop dramatising ffs
Harsh, but true.Nor do I but the concern is that this season should be a better chance of promotion than the season after.
When people talk about stability well we have players who’ll be here next season - Vincenti, Beavon, Haynes etc as no one will want them. Some, such as Jones, mcnulty, Bayliss are likely to jump ship.
I can’t fathom why a manager whose always concentrated in the last on forward players has a glut of defenders and defensive minded midfielders but, mcnulty aside, has not signed quality forwards for this division.
In the end if McNulty had an injury in October that kept him out for the season we’d be looking at games like Forest Green as a relegation six pointer.
Stop dramatising ffs
But then 5 wins out of 15 is not good enough if you have aspirations of a top 3 place and Robins has said promotion is the aim.According to some fans, the next game, whenever it is, is always crucial. You might argue every game between now and May is crucial.

Mmm-bit odd that one. Blaming the crowd for yesterday’s debacle. We need to go on an incredible run between now and the end of the season to have a chance.
We’d fail in the playoffs too if it was the same people in yesterday’s crowd turning up.
He does have point though. When Stokes was lining up that shot in the first half the guy behind me was rustling some sweet wrappers.Mmm-bit odd that one. Blaming the crowd for yesterday’s debacle.
Players like Kelly are 10 a penny. Barry Quinn, Stephen Hughes, Sammy Clingan, Bigi, Isaac Osbourne,Conor Thomas, Deegan,Jack Finch,Stevenson we’ve seen them all before.....After his injury and yesterday’s performance, I realised how much we miss Grimmer - he is an outlet down that side. Also a fairly useful defender - DKE yesterday highlighted this.
The cup run has changed the focus of the players in my opinion - additional games that we really didn’t need in terms of focusing on promotion.
I know he’s only 18 but Bayliss was a disappointment yesterday, we all thought watching the FGR game that he needed to be in the middle so yesterday’s performances was a let down . Maguire-Drew needs to settle down and do the basics. Kelly for me is a reserve, never a first teamer. I like stokes but would like to see Haynes get a run in the team.

Well there is always Haynes? Wait a minute, oh.......Stokes. Don't get me started.
We have a history for failing at the Ricoh in front of big crowds. Aside from Gillingham, of course. I seem to remember it starting against Hull City in our first season at the Ricoh when there was a deal on the admission price. There was a big crowd and we lost. Leeds, Crewe too. Different teams, different managers, same outcome. Shame, yesterday was a big opportunity to get some of the stayaways to come back.
And this is what worries me about making the playoffs and not the automatic places. We have a history for failing at the Ricoh in front of big crowds. Aside from Gillingham, of course. We've been awful for most of the season, the problem is we all got carried away after Stoke, MK and a few home wins in the league.
We could lose on Tuesday and get stuffed at Brighton and our season has pretty much collapsed in 3 weeks.
Results were kind to us yesterday for moet partTotally agree. I'm not saying everything is great. I am saying everything isn't lost just yet.
Apologies for starting this thread and generating 3 more hours of meltdown.
