Mercia will broadcast from Birmingham as they will co-locate with BRMB.

Mercia will be leaving Hertford Place (after 30 plus years) in Coventry and move up to Birmingham to be in the same building as BRMB.

Mercia will have Breakfast (weekdays and Weekends) and Drivetime local the rest of the schedule will be network across the West Midlands.

There will be job losses.

I wouldn't be surprised if Mercia going to be renamed as BRMB in the future.

The late show on the BBC that you taking about actually goes the whole of the West and East Midlands. As for local radio, there won't be any local ones left. Take Smooth Radio for example. It use to be regional, now it's become national and broadcasts from Manchester.

I mentioned before on here that Mercia's website is becoming more and more "West Midlands" oriented and is fast losing it's local identity.
