I do question our playing backwards sometimes. I think there's a time and place.

A simple sideways ball etc would unlock the space, but we seem to invite pressure and today we've been close to it costing us.

I'm going to put it down to the wind today, so hopefully 2nd half will be better, Go On City!

This is an alright game tbf. I’d certainly say we’ve gone in at HT on top, just wish we’d cut out our quick defensive wobbles.

Good half in touch conditions, the wind is definitely a factor. Impressed with Eccles on the right today. Fadz has had a couple of dicey moments, but overall a decent performance.

Think we should also highlight that save from the freekick by Moore, did well do get down to it.

Got the Middlesbrough commentary on, really bigging up how good we are. They keep pronouncing Gyokeres, Djorkovic.

O'Hare looks sharper than he has for a while. Eccles linking well with him. Though Middlesbrough giving him more room than most teams.

Happy with that. Good game of football. We have looked vulnerable at times at the back but have moved the ball very well. I would like to see a bit more from bidwell , it would be good if he took his man on and got a cross in more

Decent half, wind with us 2nd half so plenty of shots. Bring Waghorn and Hamer on at 60 mins.

Decent half that we were just the better side. Some great bits of defending from JCS and Hyam respectively. Fadz dropped a few bollocks but no harm done.

Per usual, everything good going forwards has come through COH whose got them panicking. Of course, he fluffed his chance straight at the keeper when it came. Gyo holding it up well and looks strong.

Not impressed by Bidwell so far. Hopefully he kicks on.

Yeah it’s early days but looks like he’s not suited to our style at all. Looks like an old school left back that hasn’t moved with the tight, intricate keep-ball style that the championship has evolved into over the past few seasons. It seems to be a punt down the line of old.
