Surprised Tats hasnt been tried as a LWB before Kitching and Rudoni tbh

He has played there before joining us and has attributes that fit the role better than the other two

Also solves the issue of shoehorning him into a 3ATB formation

Any pub recommendations people? Ground tick for me.
If your parking near the ground there is a Greene King/Hungry Horse near called the Six Medals

If you are parking in the town then most pubs in centre are okay with away fans and the Riverside is about a 10/15 min walk from the town centre - lived in Middlesbrough during my undergrad uni years and the folk up there are decent enough and caused me no bother whenever we played them (albeit that was before we did them in the Play-Offs)

There are some really cool bars on Baker Street and Bedford Street in the town centre (just off the uni campus) that you probs wouldn't expect to find in a pretty industrial place like Middlesbrough

Take a point and 3 v derby if I'm honest
If we got 5 points before the int'l break that would be really good! Anything more is brilliant

4 wouldn't even be that bad, as you would probably expect us to get beat off one of Sunderland or Boro away

What another international break??

This season must be the worst for fixture dates/time in history.
Yep England play Greece away two weeks tomorrow and Ireland at home two weeks Sunday

Frustrating for some but I am off to Greece myself so selfishly looking forward to it

MvE Eccles Torp Sheaf Rudoni
Wright Simms

Wilson*, Dasilva, Kitching, EMC, Sakamoto, Bassette, BTA, Tavares

Not sure how effective Rudoni might be long term at LWB as it won't have the surprise factor now, but probably worth sticking with as Dasilva is hardly a defensive rock.

Alo worried about Torp's stamina and whether it would be better to have him as an impact sub later on? But f he starts Sakamoto as a sub could be effective as well.

1-1.

Rudoni has played as a winger and a wingback during his career. So although it might have asurprise factor for you? The position isn't a surprise to him.

If give Tats a go at LWB, he was over there a lot on Saturday and did well.

Might be wrong but he played RWB at Cardiff last season and was pretty rubbish. I think MR mentioned it in his interview.

I'd stick with Rudoni. He didn't look out of place and played well in that role.

He was always going to struggle imo against Cardiff tho to be fair just due to the physicality. Same issue Jay would have.

20,30 plus years years ago you would have short nippy full backs. Games changed though, I saw Tyrone Mings playing at left back for Bournemouth at Arsenal. He's very tall, Tats , Da Silva at wing back or full back are too small .

I remember that game very well - one of the only times I have come out of a match and the opposition fans have fronted up and questioned how they actually won the game

Vik ran them ragged we just couldn't get the ball in the net
Ah yes, their CB (Djiksteel?) played a blinder.

He’s played as a winger and Saturday was essentially that with the game state. It would be naive at best to think you can set up like that in a tough away game.

I mean with opposition preparations as we'd not used him there before. Now it's something they might consider and whether if they can keep him defending it will expose potential weaknesses he has in that position.
