The young lad in black (who threw what looked like a lighter from where we were) went straight down the stairs followed by two coppers if that’s who you mean? They also threw one lad who looked like he was arguing with them out (looked like they literally frogmarched him down the stairs). Agree they let a lot go though. Just stood and watched as they crossed the closed off seats at one point.
That kid ran up the stairs the other side snd got treated like a hero by his mates

Not sure which one it was, but the young one who stood on the netting and threw, went down the stairs, back up the other side and was fist pimped by the steward for being a good lad and going back.
Ah, if that was the same one I didn’t see him come back up again. Unbelievable they didn’t throw him out for throwing stuff at the away fans.

I'm sure they will deal with it in the fullness of time, they weren't really well resourced, but as he was isolated it was an easy pull and could've escalated things between the fans. Even if it didn't, it was poor policing although sometimes I get the impression that they'd rather it did.

Yeah that’s what I saw he definitely didn’t get thrown out.

They didn't throw out the bloke in black. He walked straight back up the stairs.

You mean Monte Carlo Coventry with the black hole of Calcutta Middlesbrough?

No one can say Coventry is paradise, but it's transformed so much I'm the last 10 years that comparing it to the likes of Middlesbrough (with all due respect) is baffling.

Coventry has had funding other cities and towns have wrongfully not had.

Regardless of that, nothing wrong with feeling pride in your home town or city.

By disparaging another place? My knowledge of Middlesbrough is not vast but every time I have been there I wouldn’t say it is better or inferior to other places around England with its industrial background, Bath it isn’t but as they say “they live and die in these towns”

You missed my point entirely. I responded to the comment about recent regeneration and nothing to do with Boro or anywhere else, but you knew that. This place at times!

I haven’t got a clue what your motives were. I just read your words.

Absolutely. I like Middlesbrough, the people are self-deprecating in a way you only see in this type of post-industrial town. Give me somewhere like Middlesbrough over a soy latte drenched, soulless, spirit-sucking hellhole in the home counties any day.

Had a great day on Saturday. Locals were friendly in the pub beforehand. Proper football club in a proper town.
