I fully expect us to both be in the play-offs 5th and 6th. We'll win comfortably and they'll be fed up of playing us as we always win. We both win our respective 2 leg semi-finals and then meet at Wembley. Where they beat us. On penalties :(

I don't like your final prediction rob9872

Some way to go yet, I am not counting any chickens at this stage but I am hopeful we can hold our hard won place in the play off contenders.

So a total of 11 x 12.30 kick offs over the season…6 at home and 5 away. They used to be extremely rare and only used when there was a serious threat of crowd trouble. Personally I hate them, another step down the road of devaluing fans and their input. Oxford away sounded good but they haven’t all been that atmospheric with some crowds half asleep 💤

Nothing to do with crowd trouble now. It is down to TV and the clubs are happy as they all get a lot of money for it. Fans moan about it but some of the players in the team are there because of the TV money.

As an unashamed footballer lover I benefit from the fact that matches are on at different times / days.

I can still watch Cov and get my share of premier league matches too ( albeit on tv )

My winter Sundays would not be the same now without the TV matches.

We can’t have it both ways .

From a spectating angle I love 12.30, especially when I'm driving, but from an atmosphere perspective it tends to kill it and I firmly believe it's down to lack of alcohol. For all the moans and groans about people not handling their drink etc on here (of which I'm also guilty of moaning about), we do need the pissed up eejits (of which I've also contributed to) to create the noise, uninhibited and care free.

That bothers me less than over what it does for eating arrangements

I quite like the 12.30 gives you the rest of the day free and not back too late from away games

Yeah but I don't like getting up early in the morning. 😂

I appreciate the reasons and the money factor but it doesn’t stop me from resenting losing a nice slow relaxed build up to kick off. Having made our way to Cov early had a Wetherspoons breakfast and a pint or two …..after the game feels odd as you go back into town with all the shoppers in the middle of the afternoon.

Stay up, keep drinking and straight to bed after until Sunday morning ;)

That's a bit difficult when you've got to drive there and back. 🤔

It detracts from all the scores coming it at more or less the same time too.

Ah fuck I'm away on a stag do from 9th-11th May. So if we do make the playoffs I need us to finish 6th to be able to see the game.

Come on lads, let's secure a playoff spot with a game to spare then lose the last match to drop to 6th 😁

Sky will be trying to get as many of the promotion/relegation games as they can to 12:30 for Skysports+.

So quite likely that some (or all) of our games against Hull, Burnley & Luton will be 12:30 or Friday evening.

Don't they all have to kick off at the same time?
Edit - thought you were referring to just final day but don't think you were

No, I was referring to every game other than the last day. Obviously on the last day all kick offs are at the same time (and never 3pm).

A good mate has selfishly organised his wedding for the 24th. He's chasing me to RSVP, what's the least c*ntish thing to do? Draw a line under it now or bury my head and see what happens? :ROFLMAO:

which makes you wonder why every season they announce the games as a Saturday 3pm kick off

I guess it’s just a marker, everyone knows (or should know) that it’s not going to be at that time. I have vague memories that some Championship final round games have been on Sundays or at 5pm Saturday. Might be getting confused with league one though.

Surely the league could have decided the early kick off before now?! Very annoying. Have to rearrange travel plans.
