What I don't understand is how it's abusing the asylum system. You get assessed, and decided if your claim is valid or not. If it's valid, you get asylum (where's the problem?!?) and if not, then it's up to government to take the appropriate steps at that point. It's at that point that government have to look. Why are the party of law and order allowing illegal immigrants from Albania?
Why, 6 years after Brexit, have we not taken control of our borders as promised?

Or are we hoping to demonise the six out of ten who aren't from Albania, and those from Albania who may actually have a genuine case for asylum? Before you know it, we'll have a Tory leadership candidate wanting to change the definition of asylum so we don't have to let genuine asylum seekers into the country...
Your last sentence is a surely inevitable.
Frustrate our efforts to abandon a just and fair assessment of somebody's human rights. He's a cock
A grown man referring to lefty lawyers shows what kind of dick he is
It's bizarre. The judicial process is there to guarantee people get a just and fair hearing, and that applies for anything that goes through it. It's how we can be confident rapists are rapists, murderers are murderers, and that the right person is getting punishment.A grown man referring to lefty lawyers shows what kind of dick he is
Grrr. These lefty lawyers with their different laws to the righty lawyers.A grown man referring to lefty lawyers shows what kind of dick he is
Truly shocking. It's amazing how the policies of the National Front a few decades ago are now those espoused by the Conservative Party. Not long ago no one who wasn't proud to say they were a racist would have dreamt of saying such things, like we should deport them all to Africa. Disgusting stuff.
Yep that’s rightGrrr. These lefty lawyers with their different laws to the righty lawyers.
Wait! What? There’s only one law for everyone? So does that mean that they’re just lawyers doing their jobs? What next? MP’s doing their jobs? What is the world coming too?
To keep who? People being tortured and abused in their home country, coming to us for sanctuary? People who then become upstanding members of our society, more than many people born in this country, because they appreciate what a privilege it is to live in a tolerant, open society that doesn't pre-judge people?Don't forget it's costing us £5,000,000 a day to keep them, we could spend that on the NHS.
And it’s a price we’ve been proud to wear as a badge of honour rather than a chain around our neckTo keep who? People being tortured and abused in their home country, coming to us for sanctuary? People who then become upstanding members of our society, more than many people born in this country, because they appreciate what a privilege it is to live in a tolerant, open society that doesn't pre-judge people?
People who've been doused in water and then casually electrocuted? People who've been tied to a chair and had lighters burn the soles of their feet? People who get to watch their partner be slowly pulled apart, literally, in front of them?
It's not an either / or. It's humanity and compassion for people in need.

I'll probably let you off thenI was going for the big red brexit bus angle....
Don't forget it's costing us £5,000,000 a day to keep them, we could spend that on the NHS.
You’re a little light on details so I’ll help you out. According to the Home Offices own fact sheet on the issue it’s currently costing the UK £4.7M a day, it states that the biggest issue is that we’re so inefficient at processing them that they’re in hotels etc much longer than they need to be. If we processed them quicker (remember that the vast majority will be granted asylum) they can get a job, pay taxes, start being a contributor and stop being a burden. The government is actively seeking 160K immigrant workers for the care system from India and the Philippines as we speak. On a separate note the NHS’s doctor of the year last year was a Syrian refugee who arrived here under his own steam as a teenager. If you’re serious about helping the NHS you need the government to clear the backlog, let them work contributing through the tax system and no doubt many of which will work in the NHS in some capacity.Don't forget it's costing us £5,000,000 a day to keep them, we could spend that on the NHS.
Chicken feed. We're still waiting for the £350m a week from Brexit...Don't forget it's costing us £5,000,000 a day to keep them, we could spend that on the NHS.
This is totally irrelevant because this is concerning uncontrolled arrival of people coming across the channel. Your argument is we need xxx for this and that so let's allow xxx in via the channel. Nonsense. You’re a little light on details so I’ll help you out. Is there a controlled departure from the French beaches ?There’s no uncontrolled arrival we know as they arrive they are logged and added
Yeah. The criminal gangs are in control. Shame the government won’t open up a legitimate route for asylum seekers negating the need for criminal gangs. Is there a controlled departure from the French beaches ?
Which makes your logged and added comments totally irrelevant .Yeah. The criminal gangs are in control. Shame the government won’t open up a legitimate route for asylum seekers negating the need for criminal gangs.
What a c**t.
If you’re an asylum seeker trying to reach the UK they’re all you have. Until the government opens a safe route they aren’t going anywhere. So get used to them.Which makes your logged and added comments totally irrelevant .
I didn't realise there was ever a "need"for criminal gangs.
NopeIs there a controlled departure from the French beaches ?

Yes that was truly appalling. The present incumbent declared Muslims to look like letterboxes and burglars in a national newspaper. Not long after I started teaching a student copied the ‘letterbox’ line to describe someone’s mum. He got suspended, the PM got the top job and a cult following
