It's been a rumour for 2.5 years now. It was bollocks then and it's bollocks now
What self respecting businessman who is worth billions would let a cooking oil salesman with no football knowledge have a go at running the club and then picking it up after him?
If he wanted us when he got the ground, he would have done without question
What about the reach around?
To play devils advocate you could say that the club has now proven that it can have near sell out crowds most weeks, a lot of the off field heavy lifting has been done ( training ground, clubs commercial offer, professional playing infrastructure ) and it has £40-50m in playing assets.I think we were much more attractive when King took over, on the up, valuable players, respected manager, skint desperate owners. If we couldn’t get any serious offers then I’m not sure why we would now. Would love to know why though, on paper we’re a good investment. One club town, decent sized stadium, one season from the big money.
The Art of a deal, not a rich man's play thing? How did he get rich,by buying distressed companies, which now we are in terms of spends, maybe Sisu have taken their bit out of transfer fee's purported and they're now satisfied? My point stands
If Ashely wanted the club he would have had it and not Doug

Well we were not that attractive as we were for sale for years before we found a buyer or at least one Sisu would deal with.I think we were much more attractive when King took over, on the up, valuable players, respected manager, skint desperate owners. Trust me they were desperate to find a buyer for years before King took the club. Hoffman tried on more than one occasion but a combination of valuation differences and personality clashes got in the way.We weren’t for sale for years. Sisu repeatedly said the club wasn’t for sale until the top of the cycle.
Indeed - it's basic stuff. The first rule of selling anything is to pretend you don’t wish to.

It's got nothing to do with advertising.BRB off to tell my company to nuke all advertising. Well save a fortune.
It's got nothing to do with advertising.
It's a basic opening negotiation stance.Feel free to explain how it isn’t incoherent nonsense made up to sound smart. I’ve read a lot of sales stuff and “pretend you don’t want to sell” isn’t mentioned once, but I’m sure you, a man who sells advertising services to companies has an explanation.
Because there was a £60m/£70m debt owed to SISU (or who ever their parent company was).I think we were much more attractive when King took over, on the up, valuable players, respected manager, skint desperate owners. Bit Harsh, cooking oil salesman? - if its true he has made £400 million from cooking oil then I think wed all fancy a bit of that!!It's been a rumour for 2.5 years now. It was bollocks then and it's bollocks now

A net zero spend on transfers makes it impossible to compete in the Premier League, and so it proved. Ashley set the club back a decade.Ashley at Newcastle is a funny one. Yes he was derided by the fan base and the Sports Direct branding round St James's Park looked awful (although better than insect pics tbf) but I'm sure when I looked before the spend on transfers when he was there was similar to their income from transfers.
Rumours going around yesterday that Ashley is getting involved??? I’m guessing investment if any truth in it. Probably more BS though!!!
I don't normally follow up such comments but very curious to hear more? Just rumour at the game yesterday or genuine ITK?Hearing this is happening in the next 48 hours
Announced alongside GIMOCs winger?Hearing this is happening in the next 48 hours
