Minute's applause for SP & Team at MKD (3 Viewers)

Guys, stop this now. Forget the 10/35 mins dilemma. How about commencing the applause at 18.83 mins and ending it at 19.87 mins? We wouldn't want to look silly with this and get the timing wrong so I will bring my seiko stop watch. You'll know who I am by my presence, standing on our goal line (in the absence of our GK who will no doubt be some considerable distance from it) I'll also be the one with the stop watch. If somebody would be kind enough to organise a whip round to help pay my impending fine for pitch incursion, that would be gratefully appreciated.

Like this idea a lot!! Don't mind either way, but personally think 10 minutes would be the best.

Would be great to see someone take control and get the word spread.

Am fine thanks Michael, hope your over your stay in hospital and it went well.
As you know things have been a little manic over last two weeks but your message regarding the 10 mins has been discussed and we agreed to give it our support. We did not want to push it to much until the week before or else like a lot of things on these boards the interest would die off.
The concept is very good and like you said earlier we need individuals or groups to start it by standing up at an agreed time. My personal view is that is should be at 10 mins as every single City fan will want to show full support for our young team who have overcome -10 points in such a great way.

What do you think?

Pain killers are doing their job...I just floated the idea last night to see what the response was (has no idea trust was talking about this) and wasn't at all sure what response would be. But on fb and twitter it's taking on a momentum of its own and had one journo enquiring just now. To be fair, no one on twitter or fb has queried the 35 mins and tbh what's important is getting everyone signed up to the applause as a thank you to SP and the team. So as a pragmatist, if the idea is taking off on social media I'm v happy with that and if the trust is wanting to suggest a different time can't help but feel it's just going to confuse things. kcic is still ok doing things like , but would be really good if the trust could be looking at the big stuff eg big city centre event like the fantastic summer march, community asset transfer, public inquiry to bring all parties account etc

I hope someone lets SP and the team know about this, coz they'll be very confused at hearing applause for no reason, and as I said earlier, what if the opposition score, or our lads are having a stinker at the moment of applause, this will really confuse the poor buggers! At least let the club know of fans intentions! (Just as long as they don't stop playing to take a bow! :D )

So let me see if i have this right ?
Applaud on 10minutes for team salute or / and applaud on 35 minutes to salute team and protest against the move to sixfields ?
I personally think that the SBT have royally fucked this up by trying to jump on the band wagon late in the day !!!!!
My personal view is do clapping at both times the team can never get enough support !!!!

Its a terrible idea, the Trust, berefit of any genuine leverage in this situation resort back to pointless stunts like this again. PS I also counted about 10 on the hill and none in the second half (unless the naughty tinkers had come into the ground of course NOPM!)

It wasn't a claim, I heard it and I was just coming out of the ground with my lad.

There was no one visible on the hill when the goal went in. I didnt hear that I must say. Whatever the hill people have done, I have never seen them do anything but cheer the team when we score and remain quiet when a goal goes against us. they are just Cov fans at the end of the day.

I saw it. I heard it. As I said they cheered loud enough for my lad to think we'd scored.

Might have been a sarcastic cheer rather than actual glee, like those times when the referee gets a standing ovation for giving us a throw-in.

Maybe. Didn't sound sarcastic I was cold and pissed off at the time though.

Sooooo... we clap at 10 mins and 35mins. Are we allowed to clap any other time or will that just confuse matters!

I like the sentiment here but fuck me we cannot organise anything!!!

Its good to know we are seen and heard.

There were not many on the Hill Saturday, but those who were (about 20) always move round to the other side at half time so they can see the goal City are attacking.
It was rather strange on Saturday as although understandable fans were pouring out after the fourth goal, we could hear the away fans but its rare we ever City fans.
For those who ever want to experience watching from the Hill, wrap up well, but its a very good view and you will be surprised how much of the pitch you can see.
