Why smaller ?He’s a big lad, in the mold of Simms. I’d prefer someone smaller and quicker as a different attacking option myself but depth is depth.

He does seem to have the skill set required to fit the model, with room to improve, and for £1.2 mil, does seem a worthy gamble.Initially saw this a couple of weeks back, looks to be an interesting one as a back up. Bit raw, looks to be something there, relatively cheap in this current market. Not a lot to grumble at, even if he is just a player off the bench!

Yeah we've done some good business, hopefully we can add the Swiss to that list with BernedeDone business with the Aussies, Swedish, Italians and Bulgarians so far this summer.
I think Tavares is great. He can come on and make a real difference to a game and if he can do a full 90 mins on a regular basis then I’ll take that.
He has the potential to be a fantastic player but I think he needs to go out on loan for at least half a season to get regular game time to show what he can do week in, week out.
