"He has flown the flag for us up front and has always been there to have a go and never once ducked the issue, so he’s been brilliant – a real good pro.
“He’s busting a gut to play for us and he’ll continue to do that until he’s told different.”

AT giving Juke lots of praise for his attitude and wanting to play, yet at the same time has slated McPake, who too is busting a gut to play and wants to give his all.

Don't get the McPake slating at all. Sure the Freddie's of this world who don't seem to give a toss, but surely you want your players on the bench to be desperate to play rather than just sitting there happy to pick up their wages and that is exactly what McPake has said.

Think both Juke and McPake should be praised for their attitude to be honest, even though McPake wants to get first team football elsewhere.

McPake generally breaks more than a gut though.

Every City fan knows he's going we don't need that fish and chip wrapping of a paper trying to report it.

If he goes we will be well and truly fecked, but also it could be the last bit of crap business our owners do. Here's hoping that some good could come out of it

Well some were praising Sisu for not letting him go in thelast transfer window, but all that was happeing was that they had him lined up to go in Jan instead seemingly.

I for one am surprised by Cov Mad misrepresenting what's been said. After James McPake angrily slapping in a transfer request yesterday, that Jutkiewicz practically sold today. Joe Cole must wonder why he came here on loan.

If we're going to be taken over, does it mean that the prospective purchasers don't have much money as well?

Surely they would be able to include the value of our best players in any bid?

Always why the one pound bid earlier in the summer was never a goer, no matter how many people say the club is worthless, there is obviously some value left in some of the team/squad members.

Wondered that too. Surely any transfer lined up could be put on hold with a billionaire wating in the wings to save us all.

For someone who has such a self-proclaimed large vocabulary, you have an equal yet opposite knowledge of businesses.

A business is knot just valued on it's assets. They're our regular outgoing costs associated two.*

£800,000 for Turner, £1.5million for Juke, £250,000 Clingan, £350,000 Crainie, £500,000 Keogh. all not unreasonable valuations. Others in the squad with a reasonable value too, but the mentioned the ones rumoured to be moving more often than not(forgot about McPake!).

£3.4 million pounds just with the mentioned, losses running probably around £300,000 a month, but all guess work, so about 10 months running costs, or if wanted to jack it in, £3.4million(or more if total fire sale) to offset their investment/losses.

Or £1.00.

JK Galbraith you are not.

Not at all irked actually, find it amusing that people think they are my personal nemeses, when I don't even know or care who you are.

Interesting the CT haven't mentioned McPakes tweet about wanting to stay....

In their defence they did fairly quickly- http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/co...-handed-in-a-transfer-request-92746-30058682/

However the 27-year-old insists that he has NOT handed in a written transfer request to the club - and is committed to the City cause while he remains at the club.

He tweeted: "Just 2 (sic) confirm I haven't handed in a transfer request!

"And I'm committed to CCFC like I have been since I came here.

"Like any player I want to be playing games. I still have the fight to get back into the team, and will continue to work hard to do this."

He added: "Thanks for all the messages."

Oh right, you mean the paper itself. With you now.

How much is it nowadays? 45p or so? Never anything in it worthwhile to read, and the letters pages are just people moaning about bin collections and the number 79 bus not stopping last Tuesday at the shops in Spon End or something.

Though all local papers the same(except for the Spon End bit)

AJ – yes mate, back page headline one day then further developments in the day next day all quiet.

Lordsumm – I get it at work for free but agree, wouldn’t pay 45p for it. Old news normally and nothing worthwhile especially since it became a morning paper.

I really miss The Pink, when I was away in the RAF used to get it sent to me every week wherever I was, always a great read.

AT made this rather telling comment... a manager would expect to be in the loop, he isn't a manager he is bloke in the middle of a crisis (unless he is being more than economical with the truth)
"He may well go in the future, I don’t know"

I don't remember the last time I bought a paper, with the internet providing news immediately they seem archaic and redundant for the most part.

Waiting at newsagents on a Saturday afternoon from about 5.30, waiting for the Pink to be dropped off with a few others, jumpers for goalposts time that.

Admittedly would take months, if not years, to match my arguments on here with correspondence in the letters page once a week.

Two or three years ago CovMad had an exclusive that we were getting Joe Cole in on loan, and they were serious about it.

Really!!?

Reliable source then!
