More Misery for sisu: Result of poll of over 500 CCFC fans (1 Viewer)

i didn't misread anything. it was a tongue in cheek comment regarding the size of the "home" crowds at sixfields that i didn't expect to be taken seriously.

Ok - the typed words makes it difficult to tell. There should be 'tounge-in-cheek' emoticon. :p

It might suggest that if Sisu get the Ricoh we will see crowds of about 6k... probably about right.

If a new owner was there it would probably be 12k. Go figure what is best for CCFC.

I think that's bollocks. I think the support would remain around the 10/12K mark. You can't base your evidence of that on 500 responses.

Well common sense would suggest gates were lower than 10k before and a large body now hates Sisu with a passion (some evidence in this poll if it were needed)- not you obviously. So gates of 6 or 7k probably right. But logic has never been your strong point.

I'm a boycotter of ALL games and I would go back to the Ricoh like a shot if we returned there. I would bet most people would. Playing back in the City takes precedent over getting rid of SISU IMHO. We can try and do that once we are back home.

So Sixfield boycotters, NOPM, this poll is obviously nonsense and a few 1000 Cov fans wouldnt go if Sisu remained owners at the Ricoh?

Agree. In fact I think if we came back crowds would rise temporarily.
Agree with this, the novelty of having Coventry city playing in Coventry would probably swell the crowd for the first few games. All this is madness

How cunning! :D
Force ACL and sisu to make a deal so we can go back and have 15.000 shout 'sisu-out' - waving banners and sing anti Tim Fisher songs at each home game.
Just like the old days ... you know, the season we got relegated.

Ooh, hold on....

"In reality returning to the Ricoh is very easy: Joy Seppala simply has to say ‘I will accept Gary Hoffman's offer of three years rent free at the Ricoh plus paying all compensation costs at Northampton"

Is that true? Is the offer on the table to Sisu? Would The Club get the Matchday income from tickets etc (ie is "free" really. "Free") - I remember Fisher poo-pooed this offer because of strings attached or a flaw in the thinking, but at a time of High Passions in the race to get out of Admin just before the start of the season.... Now with things relatively calmer and The Sky Blue Trust making a positive policy change to encourage calm discussion can that option be unpacked again, put on the table, and potentially be the foundation to a return to Coventry?

the team got us relegated by not getting enough points not the people in the stands expressing their feelings about the shoddy owners.

The average home league gate last season was 10,948.

How, by shouting "SISU OUT", by boycotting the Ricoh, by signing petitions? Or is there some other guaranteed way to get rid of these maggots?

Why are so many people bothered about us not being in Coventry if they won't go if we return?

Well, it's a email poll, so those asked are members of either the Trust or signed up to KCiC.
In that case the results aren't really surprising.

I don't think the KCiC poll can be used to state other than those who support KCiC want the club to return to the Ricoh.
The interesting point is the large percentage of KCiC supporters who are firmly in the sisu-out corner. Maybe not surprising as it seem to be the most active and most vocal group.

Can I ask how the response rate was? How many mails sent out, how many resonded?

What would the results be if a poll was made at the turnstiles at sixfields with the exact same questions?

In my job i meet lots of coventry residents and have been asking them 4 questions. 1. are you a fan of ccfc, if the anser is yes the second question is are you going to northampton. So far two people have said yes, the third question to every one is will you go if the team is near the top of the league and only a couple have said yes.I have asked between 750 and 1000. The questions were only asked out of interest to me so i never wrote down a detailed record. The fourth question was what do you think of tim fisher and the reply was 100% .

But Hoffman didnt offer 3 years rent free, he was going to take the money back out through the clubs ticket sales

would be inaccurate due to a very small poll, maybe include the Hill.

Might be something to do with Coventry having a football club in Coventry before some twats in suits started having a dick waving competition resulting in the club being moved elsewhere. Just a guess like...

yes maybe we would get a different result if it was done on here or the telegraph site etc but I doubt it......

The Sisu apologists continuing to try and discredit a poll that tells us all what we knew anyway. Thieving scumbags take our club out of Coventry. 90% + fans won't support that.

What difference does it make if you don't go? Genuine question. You can't say to them "come back to our 32,000 seater stadium in Coventry please. Oh by the way, I still won't attend." Where is the incentive for them to come back? It's not just rent, all other costs are higher.

I've not been called a Sisu apologist for a while. Thanks.

How does it work out of interest? If I disagree with your opinion I'm a Sisu apologist. Many times I have agreed with you though. So where do I stand? Are you a Sisu apologist the times you agree with me or do I become an ACL apologist at those times. Or maybe we both want what's best for CCFC and love neither Sisu or ACL.

Have to say I'm a little confused.

from all of the series of stuff thrown at various parties,
i'd guess 85-90% have huge issues with our owners, i think that has been brought about by continual abysmal communication & confusion, with the fans,
we all know or assume, the history,
from Richardson onwards, but the characters, Clouting, Dulieu, Brody, Clarke, Igwe, Fisher, et al, have something to answer for,
come on Ms Seppala let us hear your explanation

I am pretty sure more than 90% of fans are unhappy with their move. I am not sure where this sisu apologist stuff comes from, the poll tells us nothing at all except that Michael is a researcher at Warwick uni (no disrespect.to the job or Michael) but as its a tiny percentage of our fanbase it doesn't show too much.

It is a very misleading article.

SpionKop- I'm very much with you in terms of your SISU loathing- have been for a while and clearly stated- they took the club away- I will never forgive them.

However I think this POLL should be treated with a cautionary glance, respectfully its probably not worth dwelling on for too long.
Its demographic/target audience- i.e all subscribed members to the KCIC campaign for me anyway dictates a rather dismissive approach to its conclusion.
Its a bit like asking Turkeys if they like Christmas? or the Bernard Matthews family the same question- you will get two completley different answers?
Sorry I cheapen the debate with such an analogy- albeit Turkeys and SISU might not be a bad parallel:thinking about:

Given the Target audience is arguably loaded then what conclusion can be drawn from the 40% who by inference won't so readily go to the Ricoh even if CCFC do return under SISU ownership?

I think we'd be better served throwing some weight, credibility and effort behind this CT story which seems to have gone somewhat unnoticed and is in danger of fizzling out?
ACL or so it would appear are ready to talk..... let us have a statement from ACL to the same- independent of the SBT.
SISU will then be forced to respond- the outcome of which will define whether we get to enjoy our Christmas Turkey lunch ?

Can I answer that by using a quote by you in #44 "It's all bluster. Majority of those will come back if we were back in Coventry. You can't just switch it off like that."

The club is more important than the owners, if fans lose sight of that then we truly are screwed.
And that's not a dig at those who do/don't go to Sixfields. Everybody is doing what they think is right for the club at the moment. Which action *is* right is a bit of a grey area to me but my hand has been forced a bit by the club moving to where it currently is.
Although, working in Northampton as I do, midweek home matches are a piece of piss!

if you are not happy with the results why don't you pose each question individually on hear with a yes/no/unsure pole on here?

A misleading article about CCFC, never!! We've had enough bullshit published from the club's lies so why shouldn't the fans fight back.

Why is a poll using kcic members to be discredited? Don't all CCFC fans want our club back in our city?

Poll results - 500 returns were endlessly and pointlessly discussed on a forum by 30 people. So what!
