Which begs the question of why Wasps brought into a 32000 seat stadium uhless it was so cheap they couldnt afford not to
if Wasps had stayed where they were they wouldn't exist now so the when opportunity was presented to them to purchase a stadium with all the other facilities attached to it they took it, it was a gamble which may or may not work, they obviously hope to build a fan base that sustain the club and only time will tell if it works or not.

They also turned down a chance to move back to London, let's not ignore that.

Maybe it's because your owner never had any intention of going there.

The "wouldn't exist now" stuff is bullshit.

I think Wasps should be applauded for their crowds
we get 5500 for 20 miles away from our home city
They get 8000 yet are 100 miles away from their home city
I'm not trying to prove any kind of point with question I am genuinely interested, how many of those are season ticket holders compared to walk up

once the move had been made and money invested they were never going to go back unless this venture completely failed

That's been debunked many times. As has their claim it was impossible to move back to London. They even explicitly said rugby wouldn't be allowed at the new community stadium in Brentford, one mile from their traditional home, yet another rugby club are moving in there.

This other rugby club moving in was purely a chance encounter though.

like i said once they spent the money they were never going to move back unless it completely failed in Coventry (which it may still do). shock and horror owners of sports club don't tell the whole truth! now where have I heard that before?

It is interesting that the 'club wouldn't have existed' claim is never challenged by Wasps fans.

As we've found out along the way; question everything...

So now you acknowledge it was bullshit that they had to move yet you still push it like it's fact?

Interesting the Telegraph still don't seem to have mentioned the stuff in Henley and their campaigners have said they have even approached the Telegraph about it.

Am I the only one who couldn't really give a Toss where wasps put there training ground?
All this gnashing of teeth about what's going on in Henley is faux outrage really isnt it.

At the time of the move it was financially nonviable to stay where we were (they would have ultimately gone bust), they didn't have to come to Coventry but they took the gamble and chose too when the opportunity was presented to them. not that different to when you didn't have to move to Northampton but chose to when a rent of 1.2 million was too expensive and was crippling the club

I'm annoyed they are pissing people off again. But then a small part of me is glad it's some other fuckers who will now be able to see how they fucked us over.
Why would it be faux outrage from people though?

While Wasps need their own training ground they need to build a fan base more so in answer to your question no i believe the outrage is probably justified and is something Wasps need to walk away from or embrace whats already there and improve the facilities for all

Whilst Wasps are complicit it what has happened it is the council that have fucked you over.

It’s symptomatic of their behaviour patterns. Any negative publicity is helpful

Most likely that they just bulldoze it through though and shower everyone with free tickets to say sorry, sure the telegraph will be down in Henley to capture all the smiling faces when it opens

Probably
Just an observation but you seem to have a really unhealthy obsession with free tickets and coaches

It is called sarcasm because that was what they said they would do to try and make it better.

When you have to turn down free tickets to pretty much every Wasps game it gets a bit boring too.

Just because its wasps I suppose. If it was another club doing this would any of our fans care? Nobody really cares about what's happening at Henley its just another excuse for a wasps bash(nothing wrong with that).

Couldn't you of just cut the wage bill/downsized the club and stayed where you were?
I'd rather us play in league 1 for the foreseeable than move somewhere else.

Rugby doesn't have the structure of 4 leagues like football so once your out of the top league your practically on the verge of semi pro and its almost impossible to return from there as the revenue streams are so low.
