The Ricoh has been around for a few years now - if it was going to be seen as the go to place for non-sporting occasions, it would have stamped it's mark by now surely? If it's just breaking even now, where is the evidence of hope that it will see it a better future attraction over say the NEC to host an event? Unfortunately for the City itself, it doesn't seem to have become the cash cow it was supposed to be.

That's fine when it's all fanzones and fireworks that they're going out for but now they're cutting all that away how many people are going to be chasing the likes in a freezing cold empty stadium while some fat lads hug in the mud.

My brother worked for the NEC and these big stadium concerts are not as profitable as people think as the bands demand a lot of upfront cash to play plus a % of food and beverage revenue. CCC were always wanting a partner to develop the area hotels and other leisure facilities, once it was clear CCFC were never going to be a position to do this I'm sure they were hoping WASPS would and now its clear WASPs only want Cov for a stadium and potential fan base and won't be developing facilities in the Cov area. When you dine with the devil make sure you have a long spoon

Saw this for the first time.
1. The smug Ann Riley with Nick Eastwood smiling while defecating all over the club that she apparently cares for.
2. Nick Eastwood on the board of the group their buying the ground from? Is he local? Why would he be on the board? When did he join? All seems too convenient.
3. The sheer number of groups they are going to displace by doing this.
How can anyone in Coventry or within 20 miles support wasps? I know there will always be a stray wasp who ironically moved to cov before their favourite franchise rugby team did. But as a local to see them bulldoze their way into a city and thinking I'll have a bit of that you must be delusional or just desperate to get out the house on a Saturday! Wasps will go as fast as they came one day and will have no time for sentiment for any new fans they may have acquired along the way.

In a meeting with Roger Bevan(WCG) and Steven Vaughan(Wasps) on 18/11/19, Mr Bevan when questioned on a possible conflict of interest in the proposed sale through Nick Eastwood(WCG Governor and Wasps Vice Chairman) responded by saying it was absolute nonsense! He went on to say that, Nick Eastwood had not been involved and indeed had declared his conflict of interest immediately and stepped away from the transaction.
In the very same meeting, Mr Bevan himself stated that the initial talks between WCG and Wasps had started at the end of June this year, and Wasps 1st visit to the site was on 2/7/19.
With this information in mind, please read the set of minutes from a WCG Board meeting held on 11/7/19. Please pay particular attention to those present, and more importantly, those declaring an interest, or not!
