In other words, Joy is a tight c-unit.
Or he's just waiting for the right deal.
We’re tip-toeing along at this early stage and I am sure it will become more intense as the weeks go on. But at the same time we would like to add some footballers to what is a thin squad at the moment. We have to get the best value because once we’ve spent the money we can’t spend it again.
Like Pressley didn't. Right before he signed 8 strikers. In other words, he hasn't hardly got anything to play with.
I'd prefer us to take our time and sign a better player, than go gung-ho and sign shit.
In other words, he hasn't hardly got anything to play with.

nah don't think they do tbhAnd they all failed to deliver, because they were on the shitheap.
No kit yet, no rush for players. Do they want to sell ST's?
The general trend since SISU came in has been to sign players as late as possible, so they don't have to pay the wages pre-season.
Makes sense from a financial POV, not so much from a teamwork and squad bonding POV.
all of that makes perfect sense.
Just no real reason to say...
28th May
"Waggott also revealed the club are closing in on their first summer signing"

It's the 4th June
The beginning of August would be too late to start faffing around looking for everyone's unwanted cast offs. If it's left that late the bubble of optimism will burst, ST sales will have slumped and folk including me will be thinking here we go again. I'd like to see the bulk of our squad in and settled by Mid July and have them taking part in the friendlies.Exactly. Now if it was the beginning of August then fair enough, but Christ he's only been back for four days!
