We'll putIt's a double-edged sword this, as with all short-term contracts. If he does well, there's every chance that he goes elsewhere and we're looking again.
Saying that, even if he's signed a four-year deal there's the possibility of poaching - it's just that it seems more likely to be temporary in these circumstances imho.
Everything about the club seems temporary at the moment - the manager, half the squad, even the ground - nothing is tied down for more than a year or two. It doesn't really feel like the actions of an owner intent on building something at CCFC...
1 and a half year deal would have been more sensible surely?
Guide us to safety this season and then a full season to see what he can do? Surely you just put clauses in to the contract in case of relegation but you don't announce to the world he is a free agent in the summer so that if he wins 10 out of 14 games, another club take him off our hands and we are back at square 1 looking for piss pot manager for next season.
The brave new dawn lasted 5 hours.
Land a decent manager for how long ?
8 weeks.
If he does well and we win a few he will be off to a better and bigger club, if we go down he will be off as he will cost to much for League 2.

I go with number one. The shouty lot will go with number four.
Or at the stadium they are allowed to use 24/7.
And yet I bet you were complaining the contract Pressley had was too long.
So you're saying they couldn't have had it there? Bolux.

Not sure this gives a better chance of staying up or not, what is his motivation for keeping us in League 1 if he could be off at the end of the season anyway?
I did think that about SP but apparently his deal was a 1 year rolling contract I think so had some get out possibility for the hedge fund. 3 months for a manager is new territory! Typical SISU though, everything done on the short term with one eye on bolting for the exit !

They don't have any right to use the Ricoh. Why should they pay to hire a room for a press conference?
As for Pressley didn't I read somewhere that they have/will pay him 18 months salary, what's that? £300K? OK, so I was hoping for longer but a week ago we were all moaning about Pressley, so we're in a better position than then.
It's all about exposure tv cameras outside the ricoh do you think the new owners of acl are as stupid as ours. If they were asked for a free room they probably would have given it I know that if I owned it I would.

What will he get if he keeps us up £50k? £100k?
If we go down he walks away, either way he won't be our manager next season...
This is a short term get out of jail stunt by Sisu, hopefully they will leave in the summer
And you're saying we could? I bet we'd have to ask permission though, wouldn't we? Wouldn't've had to at HR.
More from Mowbray's interview with Sky
"If we can win tonight, we then have a couple of home games so we could be talking about winning four games in a row."
"I always believe that player self-motivate, my job is to give them inspiration and something to aim for. I think this club particularly is one where everybody needs to galvanise and pull in the same direction."
Tony Mowbray being interviewed by Sky Sports
Listen Torch when are you and others going to stop going on about HR it's gone, one thing you're right about is the permission but then again whose fault is that? By the way the answer would be the same even without the new owners of the Ricoh
