This! His settling into the club over & starting to perhaps make his mark seems to correlate with our significant change in fortune.
And I am saying this as someone that from the outset made it clear on SBT that I was not convinced by TM. The furthest I got was 'starting to believe' aound the end of October. But the turnaround has just been too dramatic & too sudden for me to believe it is simply TMs ability as a manager & his coaching staff.

He needs to do something, he needs to mix it up a bit and if we have to play scruffy to get results then that is what we need to do.
It is all well and good trying to play football "the right way", but when teams can counter act that and beat us every week it obviously isn't right.
Yes time for ugly football just to get points and get confidence back
Agree, frustratingly last night Henserson came on and we seemed to play less direct than we had all game!
We had Fortune and Henderson up front, we should have done everything we could to get it into them to hold it up or to put it on their head. Last 5/10 minutes throw Martin up too.

ugly football? too many fairies in the team for that
if only we had someone like....oh i dont know.... Jim O'Brien?
And just 2 goals in the 4 games since putting 6 past Bury. One of those coming from a defender, Aaron Martin.first 18 games

Boothroyd's team did.
I'd get Murphy down one side, maybe Lamieres down the other and get them on the training pitch whipping crosses in for Henderson / Fortune. They just need to trouble the goalie, then any spillages then Armstrong will be there to put them in.
Just found this on the internet about Mowbray's sacking at Boro. Remarkably similar.
'With a minimum of fuss, in his first season he guided the team back to the safety of mid-table, taking a creditable 51 points from the remaining 35 fixtures.' (kept us up last season, maybe a good short term manager)
'His first full campaign in charge saw Boro mount a genuine challenge for promotion before Christmas but a New Year slump left the club in seventh place overall, just one spot below the play-off zone.'
'Boro only won three of their final 21 fixtures, picking up just 12 points out of a possible 63.'
'But a failure to address an error-prone defence meant Boro were unable to capitalise on generally decent early season performances and Gibson finally decided it was time for a change.'
City's record eerily similar to Boro's in 2012-13. Top in November,top4 @Xmas,5 without win in Jan & 4 lost in March. Boro finished 16th!
It is indeed. Surely he has enough about him and enough experience to have addressed that hasn't he?Uncanny!
Billy Davies has had big fights with boards over funding squads and buying players and has even walked out.Billy davies >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> come on down
So have we - regardless who is in charge!he has got previous for this sort of 2nd half of season slump.
Easy solution. Tell all the players there is no Christmas next year.So have we - regardless who is in charge!
