C'mon Grendel high court Judges, appeal panels made up of High Court Judges haveWhich would be an affront to legal process and democracy.
The having a move out the city blocked bit seems to have been added by the CT. The actual quote isHmm, does he know where this site (fantasy or not) is supposed to be? Surely he can't be looking to have a move out of the city blocked unless he and everyone else knows where to!!
Seems to me he wants someone to come in and get mediate. Certainly wouldn't do any harm. If, and lets hope it doesn't come to that, Wasps won't negotiate then there will be little choice but to leave Cov.“A situation persists now whereby the future of the club is again uncertain and that, unless talks resume, the football club may once again forced out of the city unless constructive talks resume.”
“I ask therefore if you are willing to mediate as necessary to bring to a close this situation and to encourage all appropriate parties to open up talks so that the future of the football club, within Coventry, can be secured.
“I also ask that you seek reassurance from the Football League that, in a worst-case-scenario, Coventry City Football Club will remain in a position to play its home games at a suitable location – preferably within city bounds should constructive talks not resume.”
I'll stick my head out and predict a few seasons at Rushden and Diamonds old ground.
Interestingly the proposal to knock it down has been withdrawn so a nice little ground not too far away sits empty and waiting. No doubt their council will welcome us with open arms and work with us and not against us.

The Bishop was influential in our return to the city.
However they decide to go about it, they need to be getting on with it,
I don't know about that, but there is certainly too much bashing of the bishop going on at the moment, cos they're all a bunch of wankers aren't they?Someone who knows the background but is in no way connected, didn't they say

Thing is the FL won't really want to kick us out of the league so are likely to use their discretion again. It also depends on what evidence SISU put in front of them.At what point do the FL say no sorry we now know that you are but building a new stadium. So sorry you can't move 35 miles away again as then you are a franchise
I honestly don't think the club could survive another relocation, if a deal isn't reachedWell I would say that if we don't want Wasps here, the City moving out and to some 30 miles away will surely play right into Wasps' hands won't it? (Especially if they do want to destroy us).
We need the competition between the two clubs and we need to be and remain the number one sporting team in this city and it not be Wasps. We move out and we will have gifted them that mantle.
If we are going to build a new stadium, build the bloody thing, get a 5 year deal at the Ricoh (whatever it takes) and get right on building the new ground now and get it as close to Coventry as possible.
Moving away to Rushdon or suchlike for 5 years will strangle the lifeblood out of this football club and would be a terrible, terrible move.
To me that is the only sensible way to go unless we can secure a longer term deal at the Ricoh, but hey, cue Grendel and his tens of miles away and his temporary stands etc.
Rushden is too far. I believe that Nene Park was Tim Fishers original long term plan, move to Northampton for a couple of seasons then to Rushden and develop his version of a professional club there but it was jettisoned by the FL on franchise grounds. He would deny that but that's what I believe.
Nothing would surprise me when it comes to TFRushden is too far. It is something that was put to me way back when we were off to Northampton, Nene Park was vacant, Rushden & Diamonds were finished, the town had known professional and FL football so there was a fan base to tempt. It stood to reason.Do you have any reason to believe that? Or is it pure speculation?
Do explainCunninghams letter is factually incorrect. If you want to show support at a high level best start by being acurate with the facts.

According to Kieran Crowley (after he left the club so no reason for him to make it up, equally we have no way of verifying it) the club holds documentation showing they had two potential sites with of which were outside, but very close to, the city and both of which fell through following pressure from CCC.
The FL were also involved in the Butts plan. That's publicly documented that the council moved to block it as soon as they found out about it.
That's all going to work massively in SISU's favour if we are kicked out of the Ricoh.

Well that would be entirely and utterly wrong of course, because that would be franchising wouldn't it.Rushden is too far. Well if there was a deal in the works I assume there would be a paper trail. If there's anything in there relating to CCC applying pressure on the seller then that would surely be enough to satisfy the FL.How do you prove we had a site ready near Coventry but it fell through due to CCC. Also if they have that kind of evidence would they have not presented at the ethical hearing into the behaviour of the council?

Which ethical hearing did CCFC have the option to present evidence at?
So what's the one option when you don't have the money to build a new stadium? The FL I imagine now realise that, that is the case
Correct another move out of the city, will be a huge boost for "the city of Rugby" rubbish.
If we can't build a new stadium
I can't see us been allowed to move that's the only reason a team is allowed to move. Other you are a franchise which isn't allowed.
You pick up fans from the new location to replace the ones you lose in your present location, Wasps have done exactly thisMoving the club out the city will kill all but a few supporting.
I've said it before it will also play into Wasps hands and Wasps will just buy the name.
You pick up fans from the new location to replace the ones you lose in your present location, Wasps have done exactly this
At the moment the position is clear, drop the legals, we talk. The ball is in the sisu court.
But do the legals concern the sale of the Ricoh to Wasps so by association possibly concerns them. The legals that are against the council?
Bit more blackmail
You pick up fans from the new location to replace the ones you lose in your present location, Wasps have done exactly this
