Do we feel it is ruining the atmosphere? As we know the atmosphere has been declining over the last year.
The build up music of playing every players song doesn’t allow any natural atmosphere to be created before the game, leading to a flat start.
After a win, we play the same routine. Why? Let the fans sing for whichever player they what to and create a proper atmosphere. See the noise after an away win for examples. The lap of honour last year was pathetic, the club was playing their stupid music countering the fans singing.
On Saturday, the rain break had whipped the crowd up for the first time in the whole game. They were angry at the referee and it was a chance to make the game slightly hostile and really put the pressure on Swansea. Instead they played that rain song for a cheap laugh and as a result, the crowd turned jovial and fell flat after the restart.
I think we need to return to the fans dictating the atmosphere and not a predetermined playlist
