Boys became men tonight.
I'd hoped for a win of course, but 4-1? Never saw that coming.
That first half performance had Sky Sports and the Beeb drooling at the football we played. I didn't dare hope we could put on a 1st half performance like that, at a ground we rarely win at, on a night like this.
Burge, Max, McNulty and the rest of them put in the performance of their lives tonight. 2nd half posed a different challenge - could we survive against the County storm? Yes, we could (thanks L2 keeper of the year!). Then Max killed em off and Bayliss put the dirt on their coffin.
Great night, great support. County can bitch all they like but we should have buried em in the 1st half. They got lucky to let in only 4.
