Maybe we are just getting him fit seems like the norm
If that's the case we need to concentrate on Barrett first.Maybe we are just getting him fit seems like the norm
No, but I was a suck up, so I did want to blow people.Coming in on trial is hard. Strange environment, you don't know their game they don't know yours. The existing squad will view you with suspicion.
Think back to your first day in any job...
Did you blow people out of the water????

Coventry City are running the rule over a new triallist.Chris Paul I believe his name is.
Good point. Clubs take many trialists and the majority of the time they're never heard of again. You will get some who train a few days, clearly not up to the standard and won't play a game. I've heard of clubs just taking trialists on for the numbers knowing full well they have no interest in signing the player. Harsh but that's footballComing in on trial is hard. I little disappointed that our u23 ‘coach’ has come out for some reason and given the young kids that played today a hard time. Not only were they playing u23’s but also when most of them played 90 mins Saturday and the squad was weakened due to players going with the first team!
I’ve never ever known an u23 coach to love talking to the local rag so much. He’s so wrong to give these kids a hard time after two games in three days playing higher standard than they usually play. It’s not he’s decision who stays but the academy manager. So wrong and disappointing.
You NEVER should criticise players in the press.... NEVER. He’s bang out of order and needs to pack it.What did he say what was so bad in your opinion? How I interpreted it was that he was saying if they want to become professional footballers they need to show more than they did today. Their league form has also been very poor & only bright sparks have been 1 or 2 of the 17s and 16s.
I know for a fact players & staff members at the club read this forum, the thread at the top of this page in particular so I try and keep criticism to a minimum whenever I post. These lads he’s talking about (the second year scholars) are 17 years old they need to be able to take criticism IMO if a coach feels they haven’t performed well enough, some of them could be 6 months away from being around the squad and the criticism they will get in a first team will be a lot greater and not just coming from a coach

I disagree and believe me I’ve been there. You do your talking to the players not the press. He hasn't picked any of them out Individually or personally shamed anyone.
He's said that they didn't give enough or pretty much that they didn't show that they were too bothered.
As somene who plays and coaches, there is nothing worse than a lacklustre effort from the rest of the team. I would not want to see that in the first team going forwards (where some of these players may well be).
You've overreacted there massively.
There was a great interview with Sean Dyche in the Sunday Times this weekendCan't see much of an issue with that, he wasn't singling people out.
