He suffers from asthma, not sure how bad but would be a big gamble I think. We already have one player with a similar condition who can't get in the team.
He's played 314 professional games in his career. Don't think his asthma is a thing that has affected him much...

He would instantly be the second best player in the squad if we signed him. He's more than good enough.

I think that's debatable, but yeah certainly would likely be one of the first names on the team sheet. I meant more than he's obviously be sacked for a reason, and for a football club to write off a multi million pound asset, it strikes me that it's not something minor. I'm not suggesting he doesn't warrant a second chance, but do the pros outweigh the cons.

If we signed him on an 18 month contract now, he would guarantee us survival and be sold in the summer for 7 figures.

We should sign him up. Would be good to know we had a striker who was good at playing the lone role.
There’s a world of jokes there somewhere, no doubt he’s heard most of them by now. Such as, he’d only ever play for 45 minutes because he always gets pulled off at half time.

I’m out

Unless he came in and was one of the best 5 players in the league, would anyone pay 7 figures for an average-good championship level 29 year old they could have got in the summer for free, and only has 12 months left on his deal? No chance. Not to mention some significant off the field baggage/history.

Also I agree with you that he's a good player, and more than good enough to make a big impact on our side. However with such a harmonious squad, does someone coming in who was sacked by his last club help? Maybe what happened isn't that bad and he's a good guy, if so would be absolutely fine, but you don't know that.

What about when we signed King?

Different circumstances, when we signed King I don't think our squad was particularly harmonious or indeed successful. It was a bloated squad of established and under performing championship players, bar a small handful.

Additionally I think you overrate NML if you're comparing him Marlon King. King was basically top champ/PL level when we got him.

He's the sort of quality the squad is dying out for attacking wise. Miles better than anything else we have going forward.
You are entitled to your opinion but nothing in his career suggests that this one in seven player and 85 games at a decent level is anything other than another problem child. Telling that Warnock hasn’t touched him with a barge pole if he was the “man”

Why would someone earning many thousands of pounds a week risk it to deal drugs? Can imagine a scenario where they’d let a mate have some, but dealing? Nah.

Technically that would be dealing/supply even if given for free.

Just wondering, if he is as good as people are suggesting - why has he not been snapped up already.

To have a contract terminated would have meant a serious breach of contract.

So no thanks for me.

Yeah, but it’s not really dealing as such (I know, legally). Would still leave the club with no choice though, but if it was a legal matter you’d think he would’ve been charged by now, although I guess the courts are screwed like everything else, so maybe just not dealt with yet.

It’s an odd one, whatever it was was clearly grounds for instant dismissal but no word of being arrested or any other rumours circulating (apart from the drugs thing). 🤷‍♂️

I've actually seen the video. What a wanker!
Must admit I haven’t felt the urge (so to speak), but isn’t it just the top half of his body and face while he is clearly having some, ahem, gentleman’s time? Seems an odd thing to do (maybe I’m just naive), but the bit I don’t get is who he then sent it to (and why)??

People paid 7 figures for Bigirimana. £1m is hardly “best 5 players in the Championship” level.

Has he been stripped of the captain's armband?

He was at the time, not sure if still the case. It was enough of an issue that Putin was asked about it in his 4 hour propaganda stint yesterday. He was asked if it was right that Artem Dzyuba should lose his place as captain due to being caught out masturbating and said “of course not, but maybe people in the public eye can learn a lesson” or words to that effect.

Just been chatting to some pals on the Cardiff board, and they say rumours of substance and stuff but nothing was ever released in public.
Surely Robins wont want a disruptive influence joining a very together squad.

As a Cardiff resident I’m led to believe he was a popular member of the squad...and was definitely popular with the fans. As has been said before, that’s a risk with signing anyone. Michael Doyle for example sounds like he couldve got in a fight in an empty room.
