I'm sure there's less interest in this than even the women's football World Cup.
However, it's a sport that England are good at, albeit a major sport in very few countries of the world, much like cricket.
England are ranked 3rd in the world behind Australia and Jamaica and won bronze at the last World Cup.
However, England just defeated Jamaica 56-48, meaning England will almost certainly reach the semi-finals in this tournament.

It's a game I just can't get the rules - it just seems like you're not allowed to take the ball off someone at all and they'll find some spurious reason to give it back to the player. Bit like in infant school when a kid was given a ball and they didn't throw it or kick it properly so they were just given it back to have another go. Mind you, I've never really been interested in non-contact sport.

It's also another one whereby height counts for a huge amount which makes it quite a niche sport. At school my teacher said I had brilliant form in lay-ups and for high jump, but being under average height meant I was never going to be great at either.

I also imagine many on here won't like it because Wasps have a very good netball team.

I started to watch the England vs Jamaica game on Youtube.
They appear to have entire games on Youtube so they can't be too concerned about protecting their valuable viewing rights.
If you are used to Basketball, Netball is very different and really strange.
It's traditionally been a women-only sport but I've heard that some men's teams are forming.
Here are the mind-boggling rules:

England v NZ, eng were 7 points down at one point but have fought back to lead at HT 24-21.

England have got some ballsy player's and I'm getting excited with my patriotic hat on!

I'm glad NZ beat the Aussies in the final.
England beat South Africa for the bronze medal.
Australia and New Zealand are number 1 and 2 in the world and hardly anyone can ever beat them except each other.

Never watched Netball before but must say I found it quite exciting, end to end stuff. Not quick as dynamic as basketball but very good.

It was alright - as you say pretty end to end. But despite watching most England games I've still got very little clue on the rules besides where each position can go and only two people are allowed to score.

Imagine if we'd got that in football last year and were relying on Chaplin and Thomas!
