new away kit (1 Viewer)

Don't do away games so have no idea about away kits.

Does still look anaemic though and rather bland.

I love away games but I have decided to put my own sponsor on the front. I was thinking of asking ACL if they were willing to fund it or even the Higgs. Anyone any suggestions. I think we could actually do a big thing with this. All supporters buy away tops and we get OUR sponsor on the front. KCIC?

Can I ask some questions then, when & where are SISU going to build their stadium, if that is not the plan then why are they not speaking to ACL about purchasing the Ricoh?
And if they don't intend to do either why does the Football League allow Coventry City FC to remain in the League?

What the hell has that got to do with this thread?

I'm fucking sick to death of them trying to make the badge cheaper!! I would rather pay an extra £5 and have all the colours we used to have!

These days a lot of shirt printing is done using sublimated print, doesn't make any difference how many colours you have then. Downside is the crest wouldn't be slightly raised it would just be part of the print of the shirt. If they really wanted to save money they could use that method. I think I'd actually prefer that, since they changed to having the batch on a patch its looked a bit cheap in my opinion, like an off the shelf shirt someones stuck our badge on.

I liked the yellow one, not a fan of this. But then I've hated almost every City away shirt, and a fair few home ones for some time now.

Maybe I'm just getting old.

Always like the black one. would be happy with black away kits.

The teaser image shows the new bigger crest on a white backdrop, and City manager Steven Pressley has revealed he was heavily involved in choosing the kit which his side will wear until 2016.

“I wanted to be involved in the design process and I think we have a great away shirt for the next two years,” Pressley said.

“The crest is a huge part of any football club. It’s a massive part of the history and heritage of the football club and I’m sure that the team and our supporters will wear the badge with pride next season.

“I’m a huge advocate of the shirt, and I think the supporters will really like it when it is officially revealed in the next few weeks.”*

*Don't bet on it, Steve.

It's a shame the FL and SISU are not believers in football traditions, like playing a home. They could change the badge and find away to incorporate the boot makers guild into it for all I care at the moment. Not interested in getting one of them, a mug or a crested BBQ set, while SISU continue to run us into oblivion.

I've had my fair share have been threatened on more then one occasion have even been followed from an away game but hay ho didn't care then and care even less now...
Hang on a minute. There are lots of people who have at some time or another took a lot of shit/piss taking/sniping from all sides. Yet you don't here some people moan about it because after all it is a forum and not real life. If you want to moan about it then fine, but then to dish it out like you have (especially recently) seems a bit rich.

Hopefully a new kit to compete with the "Brazil" kit's success. Would rather buy the away kits atm, seems more apt :)

That might be an interesting idea to send to committee for consideration... my immediate thoughts would be:
1. You would have to convince a large enough number of people to BUY the new jersey, which with many people applying theNOPM principle to all merch and all I am not sure...
2. Making an assumption that the shirt is blank and sponsorless, a unifying and generic slogan should be considered, such as "BRING US HOME" in a striking red, avoiding connotations (and associated baggage) of anti-SISU or pro-Council camps or groups or slogans that antagonize each other...
3. Might be easier for each jersey owner to bear the time and expense of finding their own local printer to do the work, than to expect a larger coordinated effort

Overall, I don't know. An interesting idea that could be worthwhile,

I'd quite like them to revive a couple of the old kits as away kits. Particularly the red and black half and half and the green and red half and half.

I like the look of it to be fair, simple but effective. I think if the badge was in full colour it wouldn't look right anyway!

After all that is happening, that's hard to take in.

Didn't they just put something on the official yesterday asking for charities to apply, similar to what Grace Research did last year?

Can't find anything. Did CBRE sponsor us for more than one year then?

From the little snippet you can see of this years away shirt, it looks quite nice. Don't think I can give sisu any money though :-(

Wouldn't be surprised if the kit was similar to these kits http://www.genesissports.co.uk/store/puma-diagonal/

To me it looks more like something like this: http://footballfashion.org/wordpress/2014/06/11/falkirk-fc-201415-puma-home-and-away-kits/ or this http://footballfashion.org/wordpress/2014/04/29/wolverhampton-wanderers-201415-puma-home-kit/ Not sure whether these are original kits made only for Crawley and Wolves, but I think I would love the Wolves design in white and blue :)
