A really pleasing moment after the friendly vs Everton.

Whilst waiting for my lad to go for a piss, I had a tap on the shoulder. Turned around to see a family of 4 of South Asians, all with beeming smiles. It took me a while to remember the chaps face, but it turned out to be the Sri Lankan shopkeeper from the end of my street that I lived in over 10 years ago!

A brief chat, it was his families first ever game. The kids loved it. I asked them if they would be coming back and they said most definitely!

Great to see first time fans there, clearly enjoying it.

I went home and away with a gang of lads in the 80s. Ever since my best mate has gone for five or six games a season. This year he got his first ever season ticket. Know someone else who has too from over this way. It's brilliant. Long may it continue.

I noticed some Asian people, not meaning to sound racial and I apologise if I do, that were obviously Muslim, by the ladies dress code. Never seen ladies wearing head scarves etc there before.
It’s great to see IMO. It is, and should be a game for all to enjoy.

I saw the ladies too when they exited the ground and was very pleasantly surprised. When I lived in Riyadh the attendees were 100% male with females excluded.

For quite a few years under the previous 'regime', I genuinely thought our owners had done so much damage that we'd permanently lost a whole generation (or two generations) of fans, never to be recovered.

But the patient rebuilding has achieved what I thought was impossible - supporting the Sky Blues seems to be the default again in this area, and everyone (including the local kids) can be proud of CCFC instead of embarrassed.

Mark Robins has played a massive part in this transformation, to be fair even under Sisu which was a daunting mission that most normal mortals would have given up.

Enjoyed seeing one of the kids I coach (who’s a Liverpool ‘fan’) waiting to get into the ground in a Cov shirt. It’s genuinely mind-bending what is going on and I’m absolutely here for it.

It's put the we're a small club brigade on the back foot for a while that's for sure.

With sustained success this club will grow and grow. Delivering on the pitch brings fans in.

Whilst the cynic could take the opinion of ‘where were you when we were shit’…. for most of us that just want the absolute best for our club, we recognise that even for a die hard it was an absolute chore in the days of slowly getting relegated from league one… in front of 6000 people plus moving out of the city twice, damaged the opportunity to attract casual football fans/the wider community of Coventry to our games. Great to see everyone from every culture of Coventry backing the team when family/money allows.

It really does feel like we’re on the cusp of doing something really special. Whether this season or not, it’s imminent.

The potential has always been there. Its a big city with one club and also has most of Warwickshire as a catchment area... the problem has always been that for God knows how long it was a club spiralling down and down. This growth is great to see and honestly if we got to the Prem i wouldn't be surprised if demand was there for a few thousand more seats.

That would be perfect. Create a reserve season ticket list and then fear of missing out guarantees renewal. Great business if we get there and not tto far away. I think Doug put a cap on ST at like 19,000 last year. Didnt mean much as we sold 500 over it, but had the same principle.

Just driving around the city in the last few weeks you see a lot young and older wearing city shirts! There’s defo a change happening

Being successful helps. My lads school have done a couple of Cov City themes days the last couple of years. Wear your shirt etc. Doubt this was a thing when we were finishing 20th in league 1.

It was my nephews first ever game. He went with his big bro. Both are Liverpool fans but got the cov bug over last 5 years. Keep doing what we're doing and less will opt for glory teams . Obviously never all but a good percentage I think we can bring to the sky blue side of the force
