I think part of the reason no one complained was because the information on the finances was harder to get, less well understood, and not widely reported. The main source was Companies House and you had to pay for the information for example. But the warning signs were there. So long as the club scraped by in the Premiership all was well no one challenged what was going on, problems began to surface when CCFC got relegated as people looked for someone to blame and those in control looked to divert that blame away. BR was not the only director and the others share joint & several liability for the decisions made under his tenure, but also before and since
