Bit of an argument going on here about this. I was taught that the name comes from St Osburga who founded a nunnery along the Sherbourne (also St Osburgs off the ring round). Anglo Saxon pronunciation was Coventre which is Covent which meant convent and Tre which means settlement. I can understand thats hard to get on a shirt though.
No will ever know 100% but the most widely accepted origin of the name is Cofa's Tree

Absolutely incredible. Wish it was the away kit.

Seen this doing the rounds. Was thinking concept but didn't that EFL magazine have all 3 of our kits in it last season before we saw them?

If true then all 3 please

If only, they look a lot smarter than the actual kit. 🙈

Ha, not sure how I feel about the club endorsing folk etymology/presenting wild conjecture as historical fact. Setting that aside I'm not really into fashion so - it will do! ;)

The embossed Cofa Tree pattern is a really nice touch, in my opinion.

I would happily buy that GK shirt, it’s a fusion of contemporary and retro Hummel styling. 👏

Anything to whinge about? Hmm…are the white shorts confirmed? We’ll look very ‘Lazio’ if it’s true. Kind of spoils the whole traditional accessorising they tried to achieve with the tree pattern.

Other than that, there isn’t much else for me to whinge about. Over to you, @Saddlebrains 🤣
