If we're still in Birmingham a nice gesture would be to adopt the subtle colours of their understated flag that I can't believe I'd never seen before today

Luckily this matches the colour scheme of Ghana's favourite sons, Hearts of Oak. Simply copy this for our away kit and go unbeaten on our travels thanks to opposition players suffering blurred vision and fits

I’m not too keen myself but the idea that we couldn’t do something because of some prior claim by Coventry United is laughable.

I wasn't saying we couldn't, I was thinking more of whether it would be popular among the fans because of that association. New kits are after all about revenue. Having said that we had something close to yellow and black last season which seems to have sold well despite the Wasps connotations. So I doubt it would be a problem and as I say we had that colour scheme a long time ago.

Didn't David Seaman wear that during a Euro's/WC

New kit released within a month. Boddy says we usually release 1 month before season kick-off, so it could only be 3 weeks away – happy days

Is the delay due to waiting for a sponsor now we are in the Championship? Presume we are hoping for more that midreppo and allsopp & allsopp.

My sources tell me we’re currently in negotiations with Granada Bingo (itk;)).

Not sure if they’ve explicitly said why, but sponsors could well be a reason. Didn’t Allsops say they were only doing it to help out due to a lack of other options? Got to be more demand now, how many betting companies are there anyway?

I love proper local sponsors, Blackpool's looks great with the visit Blackpool logo on there. Imagine if we got Cov Uni with the phoenix.
I think they've re-branded and now it's just a W (2 upside-down triangles)

Edit: Whoops that is Warwick, not Cov. (Thanks Liquid)

Cov Uni market themselves well . Could be a good move for them to get on the shirt. Especially with the Warwick involvement

Think it'd be a bit wierd if we had visit Cov on the shirt if we were still in Brum!

Wouldn't be affordable for them but City of Culture somewhere on it would be good. Maybe a small one on the back of the collar?

There are some absolutely superb kits from Africa, my old 5aside team went for a nice leopard print one for Zanzibar

It always amazes me that local people moan about all the high rise student flats but the two Universities employ a lot of locals.Just like car manufacturing,in the fifties and sixties,it'll put the city in focus.Warwick are involved in the light rail, electric vehicles and environment friendly projects not saying a new stadiumwill happen but this partnership,is a lot more likely, than the ones previously mentioned as possible sites.

We could be leading the way as a green stadium if the uni wanted to incorporate thier technology to showcase it, like the energy generating flooring they were working on.

Also lots of potential for some nifty IT / AI / comms stuff if we can tap into the expertise at the University. Loads of synergies (god I hate that word). Text a sub anyone?

Couple more new kits unveiled from Hummel, with two unique collar designs I’ve not seen elsewhere before. I particularly like the home one here.
