Sounds like a solid plan.Manchester United, currently £1bn in debt, are yet to say how they plan to pay for the stadium.

Manchester United announce plans to build the biggest stadium in the UK - an "iconic" new £2bn 100,000-seater ground close to Old Trafford.www.bbc.co.uk
It looks like the Millennium Dome
It would also be a security nightmare. If they have the turnstiles right at the front, the concourses will be massive and spacious.
The 3 "masts" are meant to represent the trident on the badgeI quite like the look of it. I assume the club badge is represented with the masts and tent being the sails.
You know, I’m pretty sure it’s all bollocks but would love to see if we did ever have any visual plans for the Warwick stadium or the redeveloped butts park stadium.
the FA are reluctant to play games away from Wembley as it is but if you're going to start using other stadiums then makes more sense to move around the country rather than have a northern national stadium.Doesn’t Jim want us good old taxpayers to pay half of it, I’m sure I’ve read that somewhere, as he wants it as a national stadium for the North
I say Fuck Off Jim you massive …
Manchester's a top city. The video accompanying the “launch”, with obligatory Gary Neville voiceover, is nauseating in the extreme.
Honestly, people from Manchester have such self-inflated worth about their overrated city. There’s no real centre to it, appalling train stations, even worse airport and grating accent.
Oh yeah, it's built as a destination for tourists and nothing moreI read somewhere yesterday that although the capacity will be around 100,000 that doesn't mean additional season tickets available but instead the 25,000 extra will be more corporate and more tickets available on match by match basis to members as those tickets can be sold at a premium rate. Those on the season ticket waiting list will continue to wait for members who don't renew or die.
They're on about moving the rail freight terminal next to the stadium, United would have to pay for the actual stadium themselves. What do they want the public funds for? Would have assumed it would have gone towards the infrastructure and as a return the club would give the local council a percentage of the apartments for either council housing or shared ownership.
Is that the concept?
