I think you'll find the shop staff don't know anything and would not say anything like this to the public....anyway, even if they did know they would have to keep it quiet so i wouldn't listen to this moron says....he probably wasn't even at the ricoh today:mad:

Just checking his stats and comparing them to Thorn.
Thorn won 13 games out of 60! (Sorry had to mention it)

Browns record is better, but I would be dissapointed if we got him in. Not enough to stop going though as has been said above.

If he had, had ups and downs I wouldn't be quite concerned, but it has been 1 up and then all downs and 3 jobs, 3 sackings.

I think too much emphasis is placed on managers and not enough on the people kicking the ball. The thing Robins did well was recognising the amount of shit players we had and doing something about it. Whoever the manager is you would have to be pretty clueless not to able to compete with this group of players so I'm pretty easy about he whole thing. You've only got to look at the weak lineup we started the season with at Yeovil to get my drift. If you can get decent players you'll look a decent manager most of the time.

Murphy
Clarke
Hussey
Barton
Wood
Brown
Fleck
Kilbane
McDonald
Ball
Daniels

Saying he has a better record as Thorn wasn't an endorsement by the way!

I have never liked the guy or rated him as a manager, but if it is him it would hardly come as a shock as he has been close before and never been scared to put his name in the hat. I would prefer Adkins or Coyle but cant see us having the money to tempt them our way, so needs must and never know Brown might get the players on his wave length.

Phil Brown who only weeks ago was wanting to take the Partick Thistle job in Scottish league Division 1! Would be terrible appointment!

Give him till the end of the season to get us up or moved on ?

I listened to Phil Brown on some radio show at the weekend when he was asked about his connection to the Partick Thistle's managers post, and he said he would snap it up if given it, as Partick are a massive club.
If it is Phil Brown and i have posted my thoughts many times on him, i will start from his first day in the post, to drink myself to death.
I would not want someone who has, bar one job, been a total flop and an embarressment to that club, anywhere near my club. I would seriously be in the biggest depression known to man, if it is him.

In my experience the club shop staff like to think they know what's going on when they don't. I was told by one of them that the Arsenal match would be sold out just on season tickets sales. Despite us not having enough season tickets to sell out an 8,000 allocation.

Like most here Brown wouldn't be my first choice. I want someone young who can make a name for himself here, rather than going on "He did well at so and so". Everyone's gotta start somewhere after all. But saying that, things might just work out here and we might be half decent.

It was only confirmed that Carsley was in charge for the Bury and Crewe games, so methinks it has to be someone not working at the moment so they could take over for Saturday:facepalm:

None of the club staff would know anything about who the new manager would be,
and if they did would not be allowed to say anything before being announced. Also carsley as already said he will be in charge tomorrow.

If your that certain get your mortgage on him at sky bet 5/2 :p

This is a wind up. The people in the shop know as much as we do.

I think the appointment will come from left field, someone none of us are expecting.

If Brown gets appointed, I will feel physically sick.

I really hope this rumour isn't true, although I don't really believe it!

Waggot has just been on SSN saying they've had 40 applications and will make a long list then a short list to interview. Carsley also said if we won every game between now and the end of the season he'd be mad not to take the job but there are better managers out of work who should take over.
